That occurred to me as well.
This isn't just blood in the water. It's as if the blood from ten thousand cows was saved up and dumped into a school of sharks. There are more State and Federal laws broken here than they are going to initially admit. The civil lawsuits, again in State and Federal courts will go into the hundreds of millions of dollars. Plus, as mentioned in the article, who knows how many thousands of criminal cases now have to be reviewed because of unethical conduct by the DA's office. This all might be settled in about 25 years, it's THAT massive!
It uh..I’m in serious trouble.. hope all my corrupt greedy friends will help me get through this and not let me hang?
The thing about leftists is they’re always willing to sacrifice someone else, including one of their own.
“Take one for the team.”
(and somehow they’ll blame DJT and/or MAGA, aka Conservatives)
I’m glad you took the time to understand just how massive this is. Each bullet point in the article was worse than the next. It was a full conspiracy as she stole the information in advance before leaving her one job. Kept it and used it to destroy lives while later working in the DA’s office. I can’t imagine how defeated those officers felt as the system was fully rigged against them. They are finally being vindictive. As much as I don’t trust the feds, this should be handled on a federal level. And I hope to God no deals are made for any of them.
State officials might drag their feet but I believe she is not going to get off with a wrist slap from state charges.
As you probably know, dispatchers and sworn officers are taught that there are severe criminal and civil penalties if people abuse the criminal records and DMV files. And, if a person engages in such activity, their employer cannot pay the fine or pay for attorney representation. This is different from the system she accessed, but I have to believe that the same rules apply. I think she is going to be thrown under multiple buses.
And finally, I hope that before this is over, every officer is compensated financially, and is reinstated with back pay and promoted to a rank they could have attained had they not been railroaded.
Is this another example of certain folks being a protected class than mere citizens?
