Trump is speaking at the LP’s National convention where they usually pick a candidate for president.
I dont think a former president or GOP nominee has ever addressed their conference in 50 years so it’s a 1st and interesting .
They will be looking at him to address some of their concerns...
I’ve been basically saying the same thing since RFK showed up.
The raw and immediate nastiness out of the Democrat machine when RFK started to get some attention and traction was just a precursor of what is to come.
The Democrat establishment is going to go after RFK nastier than anything, you are already starting to see little hints of it now and again, now that three way polling is starting to show up in earnest, but they are still conning themselves into believing that RFK will be a bigger net negative to Trump than Biden... as it becomes more and more evident that that is NOT the case the absolute ruthless attacks on RFK will become staggering.
They thought that suppression would deal with him, and once they pushed him out of the party, the attention he was getting in the press did indeed die down for a bit, however, that appears to be ending with him returning to more regular rotation in the “news”. They don’t mind him being a 3rd party candidate, they know a 3rd party candidate can’t win, and as long as he’s hurting Trump more than Biden, and that was their initial belief, and one they have been repeating for months.
However, now that the primaries are effectively over, and focus is on the fall race, polls are showing that’s not really whats going on. None of the polls have been enough to cause the full on panic yet, but they are consistently showing that with RFK in the race, Trump is still winning by the same margins or better than he was without him in the polling. When you see a majority of those polls showing Biden doing consistently far worse when RFK is in the race, you are going to see the nastiest of the nasty released against RFK and it won’t be coming from the right.
He was out on Truth Social just the other day bragging about being so much faster than Biden would have been.

Biden is the one who had RFK JR cut off. Trump is just being his usual competitive self.
I considered “Libertarian Party”, but that didn’t seem to fit with, “I wonder what he will say at the LP”. Is he going to speak at the Libertarian Party ... something? Is there an event where he’s going to speak / debate? I would be interested in watching that if something is scheduled.
OK. Now I get it. He IS scheduled to speak at the LP convention. Thanks. I wasn’t aware of that.
He isn’t for nationalized health care (at least not now) and I don’t know what you mean with the others.
It is interesting that Kennedy turned down the chance to run on the LP ticket. It seems likely he was interested in smaller parties that wouldn’t be familiar to the public in a way that would prejudice them one way or the other.

Yes he’s going there in DC I believe.
Some might think “just another speech” but it’s never happened before for a GOP Nominee to do this so I consider it somewhat significant.
