-——Theodore Dalrymple———

“In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that
the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, not
to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to
reality the better.

When people are forced to remain silent when they
are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced
to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense
of probity. To assent to obvious lies is...in some small way to become
evil oneself.

One’s standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even
destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think
if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is
intended to.”

Its utter nonsense, Its been much hotter in April in years past. I’ve said for years the if its gets to 90 in April we are in for a long hot summer and around here in my part of Louisiana it did not get to 90, maybe close once or twice but just not that hot.

Horseshit, I still have to wear long sleeves and jeans in my location….normally I would have been in a T shirt one and a half months ago.

Don’t get sucked in to their lies, just walk outside and smell the late blooming flowers…

Every gallon of gas does produce about 20 pounds of CO2 when burned. Remember that each carbon atom combines with two oxygen atoms from the air.

I would have to believe that for every place that has warmed, there is another place that has cooled. The earth tilt causes the anamoly.

But, we must not forget about the Tonga Volcano Eruption on January 15, 2022. It was massive and dispersed 10 - 13 % more water into the stratosphere. That much water is trapping a lot of heat!!

I see the occasional “climate action now” sign in people’s front yards. To a criminal, it says “stupid and unarmed people live here, come invade our house.”

Gasoline is mostly long chain carbons with hydrogen attached.
Atomic weight of Carbon =12
Atomic weight of Oxygen =16
Atomic weight of CO2 =44
He is about right on his calculations. However, do not worry. CO2 is plant food.

Here north of Seattle, April was cooler than normal.

Seattle was conspicuously colder than normal in March and April, and below normal for the first week in May.

The posted article raised one very interesting point:

"...months of record breaking sea surface temperatures..."

Partly, this refers to El Nino, the huge stream of warm water that flows eastward, from Indonesia to South America, every 3-5 years.

However, the largest area of warm sea water is just off the northeast coast of Japan. The sea water temp there is at least 5 degrees above normal, which has created a huge eastward flow of warm water across the northern Pacific.

This has been going on for the last year, but I have not read one word about this anomaly.

My first thought - an underwater volcano or giant sea floor rift that is spewing thousands of tons of molten rock or super heated water every day.

A storm just dumped two feet of snow in the Sierra Nevada.

Sierra Nevada roughly translates to "snow covered mountain", doesn't it? They named it that for a reason!

Seattle metro was significantly cooler than normal in both March and April, and for six of the first eight days in May.

In mid-March, our total rain fall was above average for 2024, and also above average since October 2023, when the rainy season starts.

The cold spring weather completely turned off our rain, and we are now well below average for the season and the year.

The news reports barely mention the cool temps.

Instead, they only talk about drought, drought, drought, which, of course, can only be explained as "man made" drought, drought, drought!

This "Warmest (fill in the blank) ever" mantra is like the nuclear war clock always set at 5 minutes to midnight.

Meaningless yet constantly covered by pandering media.

I’ve been hearing about our alleged “draught” for several years. Seattle’s average rainfall is 39.34 inches. It has been over 40 inches in seven of the last ten years and three of the last four. The “dryest” year had 33.4 inches.

How about “warmest April?”

Which would be better for the Earth? Warmer or a cooler?

Is a rising sea level, assuming it’s happening, bad for the planet.

Thank you for referencing that article zeestephen. Please note that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

"World's record-breaking temperature streak extends through April"

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

Given the concern for record-breaking temperatures from global warming alarmists, I understand that Bill Gates has been working with scientist who may have been putting chemicals into clouds some months back to try to make them reflect more heat into space to save us all from dying from politically correct hot air.

My concern about Gates' experiment as it relates to claims of record-breaking temperatures is this. Might his experiment, if in progress, possibly be backfiring in some way?

Also, global warming alarmists have so far not explained why politically demonized CO2 fails to hold the heat down during a solar eclipse in the middle of an otherwise warm sunny day .

I keep hearing about record breaking temperatures but I’m not seeing it. Last night it snowed, which is not what we normally see. The high today will be 43 degrees. I’d love to see some of that warmth come my way.

? Surely it does in at least the first-approximation sense that the mean surface temperature is warmer than, say, that of Mars and cooler than, say, that of Venus?
