"[Saddam's] presidency is a failure," the freshman Senator declared, adding, "that's wrong. Wrong for our children, wrong for our parents, wrong for our values and wrong, wrong, wrong...!" LOL! When I heard Edwards say this the other day(about Bush of course), I just shook my head. He's just wrong, wrong, wrong! (and "wrong for our values"? Ha! We don't EVEN want to go there, you stupid dims!)Daisy, I cannot tell you how happy I am just to see "posted by daisyscarlett" again!!! And thank you so much for your willingness to put this together on such short notice. :)

Fred 'Mister' Rogers Dies of Cancer at 74
FR Article

Fred Rogers
By Rip Rense
When Fred Rogers departs this earth, which for the sake of humanity should not be for many years to come, he will not return in another life. Buddhists would tell you that Rogers has finished evolving; he has exited through the revolving door of reincarnation. He is heading straight for Nirvana.
Or, if you subscribe to Rogers' Presbyterian construct, his soul will be promptly dispatched to the Pearly Gates, where St. Peter will enter into the log book nothing more than Mister Rogers.
There are only a couple of people I've met in my life who I put in this category, said Beth Sullivan, creator/producer of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, and a close friend of Rogers. I'm not a religious person, but Fred is a holy man, a holy person. He really is. Truly a Mother Teresa type of person. He does what he does because it comes from very deep inside, and he does it with every fiber of his being.
Can you say halo?
A long time ago, an aspiring young composer named Fred Rogers came home from college, with a degree in music composition from Rollins University in Florida fresh in hand. Entering the family house in the sweet hamlet of Latrobe, Pennsylvania, Fred spied a box in the corner of the living room. The box had a window in it.
What's that? said Fred, who was soon to depart for the next step in his education, the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, where he hoped to be ordained as a minister.Click here for the rest of this article

Glad to hear of the shore leave, Captain, before heading out to sea for any period of time. This new bunch of psychoceramics is surely a spirited group!
Thankful we be for the addition of the all-important chaplain-physician with the necessary skills to deal with 'em. Nan can do it all, I assure you. Even Thud avoids is awed by her.
Billie and I appreciate the opportunity to employ our dancing skills ashore.
Fond were those days in 1999-2000 when we held sway on the original Freeper Island Escapes, conducting hula lessons at the Friday luaus on Invictus's Paradise, that knew no war, back in the trying Whitewater Days.
Old-timers (Scuttlebutt, beowolf) will remember the day CHIEFnegotiator had mowed our grass skirts down to 4" lengths! LOL
Thank heaven we had time to cut more grass.
The fans are a bit more graceful and ladylike - well - kinda.
Humblegunner and Eaker will supplement the Shore Patrol, in view of some of the newer rowdy ones and the unknowns.
(Guys - watch the dutchess - never know if she has that old penchant to pick pockets these days, using the Gizzmutt to distract the crowds.)
Takin' yer leave, Cap'n, going ashore today, to consult the local witch doctor, returning to the Mobius Triangle in late afternoon.
Top o' the day to you.

Whatever happened to Sistah Souljah, anyway? Relegated to obscurity, as well she should?
To: dansangel; WVNan; Aquamarine
Noting your
"Will attempt to not imbibe too much fruit of the vine. Hangover/seasickness is not much fun to handle," Nan has trained Aquamarine in the administering of her special remedy for this malady.
Believe its essential ingredients include seaweed and octopus tentacles, finely ground, in fresh bilge water.
With that inside the stomach, and oil of wintergreen applied externally, you will soon be cured.
Perhaps of drinking. too!

John, I kept reading certain parts of your article over again thinking this doesn't sound right....hehe!
Don't know if everyone has seen this yet, I received this in my e-mail this morning. I can't understand how they're going to wash the outside windows on the top.
A towering spire that would be among the world's tallest structures was selected on February 26, 2003 to restore New York's skyline where the World Trade Center once stood, an official source familiar with the decision said. The source said New York officials had chosen a design concept plan by renowned German-based architect Daniel Libeskind ahead of the other finalist team of New York architects led by Rafael Vinoly and Frederic Schwartz. The design is seen in this undated file photo. (LMDC via Reuters)

"The Saddam-Danny boy pic is a hoot and holler! LOL!"Would you believe, that photo is courtesy of Billie and Dutchess-the Dutchess gave Billie a photo of Castro and Danny-boy and asked her to morph Saddam into it. (Well of course you believe it, lol)
The other graphics are mine, though. I am particularly proud of the D.C. Hyatt, the heartland of America for these pathetic dems....
