Acquaintance/Date rape and non-consensual incest are still both rape, and it's important to stop them all, but it would probably be better to have the statistics split into those three categories, and clearly define them, than to hold everything under a single, vague header "rape." That way the information is that much more useful to policymakers.

Yes --- and the information would be much more useful in preventing "rape". I've known very few women who claim to have been raped and most were those who left a bar with some guy they had just met. One woman claims she has been raped often ---always by her dates ---she said she didn't want to be on the pill but had to use take it for the reason that she'd likely be raped. It probably was real rape but still not the kind of rape that people think of when a total stranger holds a knife or gun to someone just coming home from work.
