What..More tree branches? UK, Canada, Australia, New York, Denmark, Sweden, Italy all having major power outages within a 3-month period?
Crying wolf only works the first few times, then it becomes a trend, and now it has become a pattern.
It could be that electromagnetic weapons triggered these events to trigger a 100+ billion corporate / government global welfare bailout.

You're over-sensitized (SO is the MEDIA) to this kind of thing now (as I wrote before) and THEREFORE categorize EVERY event with sinister intent, not kowing one iota of technology relevent to the event!
The equivalent of Chicken Little screaming 'the sky is falling!'

And a 2% on Flt 93. There were a few reports of small groups ME types just walking away from grounded flights on 9/11. We can score those as 0%, with the added note that these guys are still out there somewhere, and probably want to get on the scoreboard.
Sabotage is much simpler and safer. No pesky passengers to get uppity and interfere. Pick anywhere along miles of the identified key lines. With a little camoflage and timers, you could even be back in Bumfuqistan when the lights when out.
Add a little creative web mayhem to disrupt communications between generators...

And pick a warm muggy day...

Highly ... HIGHLY improbable.
Why? These people, in general, do not appear to be that smart. The LARGE coordinated attack SHOULD HAVE been arranged for 9/11/2001.
It didn't take place - it WON'T take place.
The 'War on Terrorism' is working as expected; we're taking this game to their home field ...

it WON'T take place That's the most dangerous opinion I've ever heard stated.
Even the government boobs tell us to expect it - also that there's nothing they can do to prevent it.

It can take place - it MIGHT take place.
I'm reluctant to assume they are all idiots.

So, of course, they won't return the favor...

It can take place - it MIGHT take place.Nope. Not now, we new have tools, we're NOT going to give up any more aircraft cockpits anymore, we're vigilant AND we're awake ...
Well, I can't say that EVERYONE is awake based on our chit-chat this evening ...

On the basis of NO EVIDENCE whatsoever. Just pure speculation BBC NEWS Mayor of London Ken Livingstone said at least 250,000 people were affected and said the situation showed the need for a serious look at the National Grid and why power went down for so long.
"We've never had this catastrophic failure before and we clearly can't have it again," he said.
NEW YORK (Talon News) -- Amid fears of looming terrorist attacks by al Qaeda around the world, parts of the United States and Canada experienced the single largest power outage in North American history on Thursday afternoon leaving more than 50 million people without power.
channelnewsasia.com:The Danish capital, Copenhagen, and parts of Sweden have been hit by massive power cuts, which left about 5 million people in the dark for almost two hours.
The blackout, called the worst in 20 years in Sweden and Denmark follows similar incidents in London earlier this month, and in a huge swathe of North America in August.
ROME (AFP) - Italy was plunged into darkness after a mammoth power outage, which caused havoc on public transport nationwide, with only the island of Sardinia unaffected.
Civil protection services were summoned for an emergency meeting in Rome at 7.00 am (0500 GMT) as electricity was being progressively restored shortly before dawn.
RAI Uno television interrupted its normal broadcasting to give live coverage of the event, which it said was without precedent in the country's history.

Not now, we new have tools, we're NOT going to give up any more aircraft cockpits anymore, we're vigilant AND we're awake ...And Mexico is sound asleep, in a tequila and cocaine induced stupor. How do we stop them from taking cockpits there?

Thanks for collecting and posting all that information.
Here we have 4 major power outages, worst in each instance in many years or worst ever, within 6 weeks, but it's just "all a coincidence". Sure.
In the meantime we know that Al Qaeda has been studying power grids and cyberterrorism.
Excellent article link posted by Orion78, in post 33.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A50765-2002Jun26 "Working with experts at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, the FBI traced trails of a broader reconnaissance. A forensic summary of the investigation, prepared in the Defense Department, said the bureau found "multiple casings of sites" nationwide. Routed through telecommunications switches in Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and Pakistan, the visitors studied emergency telephone systems, electrical generation and transmission, water storage and distribution, nuclear power plants and gas facilities.
Some of the probes suggested planning for a conventional attack, U.S. officials said. But others homed in on a class of digital devices that allow remote control of services such as fire dispatch and of equipment such as pipelines. More information about those devices -- and how to program them -- turned up on al Qaeda computers seized this year, according to law enforcement and national security officials."
