The “great delusion” is that people who profess faith in Christ, will be “flown away”. The justification for this lie is that God does not allow his people to be killed, starved, enslaved or destroyed. History tells a very different story. Hard times makes for strong faith. Be thankful you will be tested.
Those who will live through trials and tribulations will lose their faith. THAT is the great falling away.
The almost instant communications of our time make this possible.

Closer than yesterday. We are supposed to know the signs of the times. We should be Klaxon horns of warning but there aren’t many ears to hear.
I think the technology for one person( angel) to control the world from one place is right here and now.

yeah he’s a pretty solid preacher- has a gentle sermon delivery too- one of the better preachers out there i think-
It was Rome, the world power of the day. Headed eventually by a man sitting on a throne calling himself God on Earth. He is still there today, even within that huge Temple called the Vatican. Who is the antichrist, but one person who rules in his stead? The literal interpretation of antichrist would be better translated “in the stead of Christ” The Pope is that man, and the long line of those occupying the throne they themselves built.
I certainly don’t agree with that office. I believe there is a very good chance it will eventually be occupied by the false prophet.
The current guy is only making that case stronger (for me).
The only tribe not allowed to form is the “White Tribe”.

You are making up what you think is someone’s position, knocking it down, and then doing a victory dance as if you proved some kind of point.
You’d do better if you got the premise right in the first place. The you wouldn’t look like a fool.
However, if you really, truly want to experience the horrors of the tribulation, I’m sure God will accommodate you. Just ask..

The point is, Jesus was quite specific that no one knows, will know, the date of his return. All this interpretation of today’s events is a waste of time. It will happen when it happens and it will happen as a ‘thief in the night’.
Read it many times. I wouldn't say most of the NT is doom porn. Maybe 10-12%. But folks certainly do fixate on that stuff to a disturbing degree.
If you think times are bad now you haven’t seen anything yet. This gets a whole lot worse before the tribulation. These are just the birthing pants.
Um, the Body of Believers, Christian Church (not this or that org) has had a different assignment these 2000 years. The 144,000 Jewish evangelists will be proclaiming the coming Kingdom Age. There is a mighty difference between sharting the Gospel of Grace for two thousand years and proclaiming / warning that Jesus is coming to set up the Kingdom He Promised to the Jews which they rejected the fiorst time He arrived ON the Earth..

Conflating the two makes a mess out of a lot of Scripture.
My intent was not to conflate the Great Tribulation with the past and present suffering of Christ's body but to say that suffering and dying for Christ today is no different than suffering and dying for Christ in the last days. The reader should know, I have no interest in discussing whether Christians will be here during the Great Tribulation.
Books and movies about the end times has made people millions of dollars ... not that there's anything wrong with that. What I believe is misguided are Christians whose ministry and life is centered on the end times. Personally, and I believe many Christians would agree, the focus of every generation of Christians should not be the end-times but the current time. In the current time we should be focused on the Great Commission and not the Great Tribulation.
But nobody is predicting the date or time.
We are watching the general times, the seasons, which Jesus Himself told us to watch for and what to watch for.
It was discussions about the end times that led me to Christ.
My own brother, who is not a Christian by any stretch of the imagination, is even expressing interest in God now, and a large part of it is because he is seeing Bible prophecy being filled.
You can disparage attention to end times prophecy all you want, but when people see things coming to fulfillment that were predicted thousands of years ago, it goes a long way to convincing someone of the truth of Scripture.
I suppose you all who object to end times preaching would also object to warning people they’ll go to hell when they die if they don’t accept Christ.
And lest you feel inclined to say it’s not the same thing, it is. Both are warning about God’s judgment of sin on an unbelieving world, and seeing it unfold before your very eyes is more effective than thinking about when you die some time in the future.

I will go one step further: I believe the great lie will involve the UFO phenomenon and the bad angel presence teling the world that the disappeared people and the great saving of Jerusalem were their works. And God will send the unbelievers in His work a strong delusion of the power of the ‘space visitors’.
God does miracles. Angels use technology ... and there are good Angels and bad Angels. The strong delusion is tied to the arrival into the open interaction of bad Angels and humankind. The lying bad Angels have exposed the source of their powers when they claim they are here to help a species they seeded here, yet their actions are hideously evil in abductions and hybridization programs mixing Human DNA and altered DNA.
