Very interesting... Why is Vernon Jordan always personally involved in scummy stuff. There was a big finance guy, Frankle someone, in Connecticutt. He stole about a half a billion from the Vatican and used it on hookers and donations to the DNC. Who was his buddy, his attorney, his pal??????? Vernon Jordan. Ding ding ding.

I'm shocked !! shocked !!

Bill Clinton's Favorite Home Videos <<<-----click here

In a memorable, melodramatic duel of anthems sung in opposition, the Germans are drowned out by the Free French audience as the accelerated rhythmic editing increases the scene's intensity as it builds toward its climax.

Everyone at the cafe pours their hearts into the singing of the song, except for two individuals - Rick and Ilsa. In two closeups, she gazes at Victor in a state of awe, fear and prideful admiration, forgetting to sing. Yvonne, who has been sitting at the bar with her German officer, shouts: "Vive la France!" at its stirring conclusion.

With the inspiration of Laszlo's bold, patriotic, revolutionary act, Major Strasser is thoroughly embarrassed and considers him a dangerous threat.

He promptly orders Renault to punish the cafe's patrons and close down Rick's place before storming out, on the grounds that people are having "much too good a time." Rick protests to French gendarmes, but to no effect.

Reluctantly, Renault closes the saloon, hypocritically blaming it on illegal gambling:

Rick: How can you close me up? On what grounds?
Renault: I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here.
Croupier: Your winnings, sir.
Renault: Oh. Thank you very much. Everybody out at once.

Renault is handed his gambling winnings by the croupier as he finishes his pronouncements...........

.........Confronting Ilsa without Laszlo at her side, Major Strasser intimidates Ilsa and threatens to return Laszlo to occupied France "under safe conduct" from himself. Bravely and steadfastly, she questions the validity or safety of his guarantee. As he parts, the sinister Major offers two alternatives for her husband: placement in a "concentration camp" by French authorities, or death as he explains bluntly:

My dear Mademoiselle, perhaps you have already observed that in Casablanca [translation: 'The White House'], human life is cheap. Good night, Mademoiselle.

.

BUMP !

...yea, I'm splitting a side; & the analogy?
I suppose it *fits* quite nicely, eh?

Elle?
For Christ's sake, *this* is nothing more than legalized, sanitized influence peddling; & on a grand scale.
No wonder they wanted the Giacoma (sp?) (~or whatever the mafioso's name is) & his people outa the way.

...sounds as-if the *clean* mob wanted to cut into the *dirty* mob's *action*.

OK, let's see. Vermin J. consults with Clinton hours before Clinton orders the aspirin factory to be blown up. Then Vermin reps the owner of the aspirin factory in his lawsuit against USA so he gets, what was it? 20M$ from US? How much of that do you suppose Vermin got?

And now we got Vermin making sure that the scum who blew up the towers were able to get their funding from USA for the last 8 years! Do you suppose it was all just another one of those plentiful Clintonian bureaucratic SNAFUs, or is it possible Vermin and clinton knew exactly what they were doing the whole time? I guess it depends on how stupid and incompetent you believe these guy are...

OK so here is something more to ponder.

A paragraph from this site
But a lawyer for Holy Land, Mark MacDougall in the Washington office of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, a law firm based in Dallas, said the group was cooperating with the attorney general's office.

And from this site we learn that
Mark J. MacDougall is a partner in the litigation practice group of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, L.L.P. in Washington, D.C. His current cases include the defense of an internationally prominent Russian media executive and political critic in connection with efforts by the Moscow regime to force his extradition from the West. In recent years, Mr. MacDougall has represented two of the key figures in the federal investigation of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters election, a leading Chinese-American financier accused of espionage and campaign finance violations, a New York investment banking firm under investigation for alleged violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and a member of the White House staff in a series of inquiries by congressional committees and the office of independent counsel. For several years during the early 1990s, Mr. MacDougall served as a trial attorney with the Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice where he was the lead prosecutor in a series of major bank fraud cases.

and this one too is classic... offering such tidbits as

VX had been found at El Shifa.' Idris has said he paid $12 million for El Shifa and agreed to assume $18 million in debt. `No U.S. official has provided any evidence to date linking Idris to bin Laden, nerve gas production or terrorist activities. But David C. Leavy, a White House spokesman, said, "We remain confident of the evidence that El Shifa was engaged in chemical weapons-related activities." One senior administration official, who asked not to be quoted by name, said the administration had "compelling" evidence tying El Shifa to the Sudanese military and to Iraq's chemical weapons program, both of which have ties to bin Laden... `"Akin, Gump ... should think twice about the kinds of clients they are representing," the official said. `A senior Akin, Gump partner responded that the firm "doesn't represent Sudan." It represented Idris, a Saudi citizen, for some time prior to his acquisition of the pharmaceutical plant," The Washington Post adds. `The law firm has a long-held reputation of influence in Democratic circles with partners like Robert Strauss, the former Democratic Party chairman, and Vernon Jordan, a close friend of President Clinton,' comments the New York Times. But the firm's lawyers `have been flatly rebuffed in their efforts to present their findings to the White House, National Security Council or the Justice, Treasury and Defense Departments. `"We've been confronted with the problem of proving a series of negatives - that there was no Empta at the plant and that Idris was not a terrorist," said Mark MacDougall, a partner at the law firm. "We think we've done that with evidence that can be admitted in court. But to date responsible officials, including at the White House, have flatly refused to look at the facts." `The lawyers have not yet decided whether they will sue the government, in what would probably be complex litigation with an uncertain outcome. Nevertheless, MacDougall said Idris wanted to clear his name.' (Washington Post 4/Feb/99, NYT 9/Feb/99)

As if all that wasn't disturbing enough; there, "is" the Hillary thing.
But her pathetic nipping at the edges looks to be peanuts by comaparison to what's implied her hubby & his *friends* may have been up to...
Check out the postings postings below #25; ie Sal, sol2,& rit, & a picture begins to appear of a global con-game beyond anything I could ever have imagined.

...it's that creative.

"...or is it possible Vermin and clinton knew exactly what they were doing the whole time?"

I'll take you one step further. Clinton not only knew they were up to, but I believe he had an agreement with them: "The feds won't bother you (much anyway), so long as you don't pull anything off on my watch."

What is amazing to me is how powerful Gump appears to be. Whenever there is something of national importance or big business... there they are.

For example, look at this Washington Post story titled "American at Center of Kazakh Oil Probe."

It starts out with: On a rainy August day last year, an American entrepreneur named James H. Giffen sat in the clubby surroundings of his favorite London hotel, the Dorchester, immersed in an effort to defuse a high-stakes scandal: allegations that millions of dollars from U.S. oil companies had been used to bribe high officials in the Central Asian republic of Kazakhstan.

And includes: The Giffen camp disputes this version of events, describing it as "not correct" but declining to provide further details.Giffen's lawyer, Mark MacDougall, said his client would have "nothing more to say in response to this latest tale of intrigue."

"...this is some excellent research work."

Yes; it most certainly is.
My imagination's been fired but-good & has run amok at the possibilities.

There had been so much happening during the Sink Emporer's tenure that made absolutely no sense whatsoever.
No matter how hard *some* people attempted to contort their reasoning, no matter how they'd picked-up the facts (they made known to us) & turned 'em around in an honest, sincere effort to make even *some* of what the sot was getting away with jibe with the natural laws of nature?
~We still could never get the, "books" to reconcile.
And no wonder; those *books* were cooked throughout moreso than any normal, sane person could ever possibly have imagined.

...cooked, well-done as a matter of fact.

I wrote the following on this thread: For the Clintons, it was always about power--their power of course--and money was just the vehicle that got them there. Once you understand that about them, many of the other "mysteries" connected with them begin to make sense. I think we have to start from that fact, and work our way out from there.
