But on another level, the journey Ozzy has taken and the road he's travelled has certained affected him and it would make one hell of a book. Most people could live several lifetimes and not rack up the experiences, good or bad, legal or "influenced" that Ozzy had.
After all he's been through, everything he's done and accomplished in only 52 years, the wild years of drugs and alcohol abuse to the more tame and civil years of being a devoted husband and father, it's incredible beyond words.
And now he proves himself to be a dedicated patriot to his adopted homeland, the USA.
Thanks, Ozzy. Keep on rockin'!
someone had to come along and rain on the parade here, we all have rights to free speech so I will just testify a bit...
Hmmm...lets say I have my doubts about a born-again bloke that portrays/markets himself the way Mr. Osbourne does. I am quite familiar with his works, the lyrical content of his music and the artwork on his album covers. I have seen him perform with Black Sabbath, twice in the 70's. The songs that are mentioned by you and others on the "Master of Reality" LP were the only "God songs" (and certainly of questionable evangelistic effect) out of many, many others that glorified everything but God. Yes, I knew the words very well because I had many of their records until, I myself had a life-changing experience with Jesus Christ and shortly thereafter felt strongly compeled by the Holy Ghost even as a infant Christian to get rid of all my rock-n-roll albums, posters, etc...a decision I will never regret because it lifted my spirit higher and led me in a direction towards greater separation and sanctification in my walk with Jesus. I thank God for opening my eyes to see the works of darkness so I might choose to cast them off so I can embrace the light of His Word.
But I also realize that everyone has different levels in there relationship with God, my doubts are not God's verdict, but according to the Word I can know a Tree by its Fruit - I can only relate what my experience has been through God's grace and mercy. God's purpose in man is that His Name be made known throughout the earth. When Mr. Osbourne proclaims "Ozz Bless America" then I for one take notice and plead God's cause, that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Now you can think or say that I am a 'jesus-freak', or too religious, stuffy, no fun, square, bummed-out dude or whatever. It doesnt matter, and wont bother me because I have heard all the excuses for NOT going on to deeper depths and higher heights in God. I know what I have gained in God and in the Truth of his Word by what I have LOST, and no one can take that experience away from me. I hope that everyone who reads this will also seek a deeper relationship with the Lord and make Jesus the Central Theme in their lives.
"GOD BLESS AMERICA"
Why are you comparing a mass murderer to a simple musician?

While most people remember this unfortunate incident, hardly anyone knows that ten years later, Ozzy donated $10,000 to the Daughters of the Republic of Texas --- Caretakers of the Alamo.
Long live the Oz Man!!!
Hate to bust your bubble, but I don't think Ted thinks too highly of Ozzy.He put him down on his radio show, but that's Ted.Don't know how he feels about him now.
