"The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who in time of great moral crisis maintain their neutrality."

Dante

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsel of arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Samual Adams

The price that good men pay for apathy and indifference to world affairs is that they will always be ruled over by Evil men.

Tennesee Bob, Words such as these were written for people such as you.

Oops I recognized HIS name: [Source: BBC Newsnight, Correspondent Gregg Palast – Nov 7, 2001].
Since Palast has been on his own personal Jihad against everything Bush, I tend to believe about 1%....now I'll have to figure out which 1% is true.

*Empi would probably feel empty if it wasn't able to ease the pain of patients. The company markets a range of medical products, including electrotherapeutic devices for rehabilitation, incontinence therapies, and transdermal iontophoretic products, which use electricity to draw medicines through the skin. Empi also makes a line of orthotic supports (for joints) and other therapeutic bracing devices. The company sells to more than 13,000 clinics nationwide; it also markets its products throughout Asia, Canada, and Europe. The Carlyle Group controls the company.

*What do you get when you split Carter-Wallace in two? MedPointe. The Carlyle Group and The Cypress Group headlined a group of investment firms that bought the health care operations of drug and consumer products stalwart Carter-Wallace. MedPointe owns Wallace Pharmaceuticals, which makes prescription drugs primarily for central nervous system, allergy/respiratory, and pediatric ailments and conditions. The company's other division, Wampole Laboratories, makes a variety of medical diagnostics used by labs and hospitals. Consumer products maker Church & Dwight and investment firm Kelso & Company bought Carter-Wallace's consumer products division, which included such brands as Trojan (the US's #1 condom).

*It's full speed ahead at ship repair contractor United States Marine Repair (USMR). The privately owned company and largest non-nuclear ship repair company in the US operates ship repair facilities at the US Navy's principal ports on the east and west coasts -- Norfork, Virginia, the home of the Atlantic Fleet, and San Diego, California, the home of the Pacific Fleet. It also operates smaller shipyards in San Francisco and San Pedro, California, and Ingleside, Texas. The shipbuilder, which was formed when investment firm The Carlyle Group combined Southwest Marine and Norshipco in 1998, will add a shipyard in Hawaii with its agreement to acquire Marisco. The Carlyle Group owns USMR.

However, this article, possibly true, misses the most important point for discussion.

At the time of this meeting, Klintonian CIA accomplishments/successes in diversity recruiting and training were peaking. (It will take many years to remove all the "sleepers"!)

We must keep our eye on the really important "ball" here. Trivia like "letting Bin Laden slip through U.S. fingers" is insignificant in comparison.[/sarcasm]

"© COPYRIGHT 2001, All Rights Reserved, Michael C. Ruppert and From The Wilderness Publications"

What does that make this guy's actual job description...investigative reporter for Green Peace???

We need a "Tin Foil Hat Award" for the most far-fetched, creative-fact-twisting, paranoid "reporting".

You are right...I disagree with TennesseeBob's "spider people from Venus" statement too. Bob, EVERYONE knows they are not technologically advanced enough to mastermind such a devious plot...it had to be the Arcturian Rotodigited SunPeople ( ARS ) what did it!!

Good post ,SharpEye,,I'll bet the "sheep class" here on FR will be bashing this big time.

It's only a good post if you like "Aha! Gotcha!" articles about the U.S., and you don't care if it's true.

The director of the hospital in Dubai told Agence France Presse that bin Laden had never been a patient there.

The Paris-based International Herald Tribune suggested incorrect information may have been leaked by opponents in France to the U.S. military campaign in Afghanistan. "Disinformation may have been planted ... to suggest a continuing covert linkage between the CIA and bin Laden," a French intelligence source told the Herald Tribune.

Personally, I blame CIA conspiracy hucksters in the United States for the fact that we no longer have an intelligence network capable of detecting "incomings" like Mohammed Atta. It does not surprise me, however, that said hucksters would attempt to blame the CIA itself for the consequences of their own treason, or for insisting that those who do not join them in gleefully bashing the United States are 'sheep.'

Tin-foil-hat goofballs are only amusing so long as their cackling is not having any serious conseqences. The gutting of the CIA by Sen. Church and others played a big role in allowing Atta & Co. to complete their mission. We need more Senator Church types like we need another Mohammed Atta.

I thought copvcia posts were verboten; the thread nannies must have the day off today:

Copvcia really publicized the put options story mentioned above but made much of the "Buzzy" Krongard connection, which I think is very weak. Threads and posts regarding this got yanked, it wasn't until the U.K. Independent regurgitated the story in a slightly milder form that it survived in a F.R. thread: CIA-Connected Brokerage Handled Terror Trades

Anyway to me the really interesting question about that particular issue is, what on earth happened to the put option money trail? Was there ever a follow up or are we just supposed to forget about it?

"The director of the hospital in Dubai told Agence France Presse that bin Laden had never been a patient there."

Correct...bin Laden's MOTHER was a patient there, and he called her on the phone. He did not visit her.
