He was set up, but gladly admits to something he didn't do.

Bin Laden could have been allowed to do something that he in fact actually did do.

Tin-foil-hat goofballs are only amusing so long as their cackling is not having any serious conseqences.

I disagree. The idiots are never amusing. I never find unresolved personality disorders amusing.

Tin foil hat time. I passed through Dubai airport on July 13, 2000 and nothing appeared to be out of the ordianry. Just the occasional guard carrying an M16 shorty. A week before something was up in Abu Dahbi airport. For about a five kilometer streach there were armed rag heads every 50-100 meters loitering under palm trees to get out of the heat. Also a small vehicle with anti-aircraft cannon.

Yes the CIA never lies, huh?

And they'd surely own up to it and admit it now if they did, huh?

Good ol' wonderful CIA who trained the murdering KLA muslim terrorists to murder Christains, Jews, Gypsies and other innocent people in Macedonia and Kosovo, huh?

I don't know why everyone thinks it far-fetched the CIA met with bin Laden in Dubai.

Possibly because he wasn't there. The hospital administrator says Osama bin Laden has never been a patient there; unlike his mother, who was there. Surely after a week of "Al Gore owns a restaurant" stories from Nigeria, you can imagine how a "bin Laden" in a hospital in Dubai could get twisted into all sorts of things as it gets translated into French. So far as I know, no Arab source has claimed this; only a certain French newspaper (Le Figaro) devined this valuable secret. Other French newspapers seem to think it's hogwash. The French Intelligence service calls it "disinformation." The guy who runs the hospital says it never happened. At some point "Le Figaro" becomes insufficiently strong as a source to overcome all the people who say it's BS.

Osama bin Laden has inflicted a sufficient amount of harm on the U.S. in the form of embassy bombings, barracks bombings, the ugliness in Somalia, the attack on the Cole, etc., since the CIA used him against the Soviets, that one suspects that if the CIA actually knew where he was, he'd have been swimming with the fishes long before July.

To buy into these stories, one must believe that the CIA is on some rogue mission to destroy the United States. Yeah, there are people who will believe that, just as there are people who will believe that flying saucers are beaming people up to conduct experiments on them. But the people who make up these stories are nowhere near as crazy. They want the CIA weakened, in any way they can make it happen. They've even succeeded, to the point that Mohammed Atta succeeded. Kookburger stories about the CIA are no longer funny to me.

What's with the download? That's not a link! I don't download. Do you have a link or what? (as if the Baltimore (Red) Sun is such an unbiased source.)

"Fact is, Cuba is sitting on one of the biggest untapped oil reserves in the world."

Just where did you get that little tid-bit of information? Some web site like the tin foil propaganda rag this article came from. If true, why hasn't El Presidente Castro gone after it years ago? Castro has full trade with every nation in the world except the US -- we only sell him food and medicine – most of his food and most of his medicine. Why wouldn't a European, Asian, Russian or even Mexican or Venezuelan oil company go in there and start drilling? Castro has 'good relations' with all of them and his Marxist paradise is still flat broke. He just took big hit when the Russians closed down their spy base which they were paying a few million a year for. His biggest source of hard currency is money sent by refugees here to their relatives in Cuba – they’re allowed $100/month, but most send more than that.

The 'Biggest source of untapped oil in the world????? Bigger than Saudi? Bigger than the North Sea? Give me a break. The lefties said the same (it all about oil) thing about Vietnam during the war and 30 years later there is still no oil flowing from Indo China. How come?

Because Castro is such a super-green environmentalist, doncha know. He'd rather leave it in the ground than spoil a grain of sand or subject any of his people with the sight of those visually-unappealing oil rigs That's why Cuba is the pristine and breathtakingly beautiful jewel of the Carribean, and that is also why we must go in and wreck the joint for the nasty filthy oil money. < /sarcasm >

It is a hyperlink. If you're using IE, all you have to do is click on it and give it a second to load up.
