Ya know something Janet if Bush goes through with this slap in the face Amnesty deal the good news is that we got better than 2.5 years to make sure Bush II meets the same fate as Bush I. This will not stand. I can already see how most Freepers even some Bush-Bots are highly agitated that Bush has not shown an iota of interest in reforming the immigration free for all that Clinton left us; especially given to what happen to America on 9/11. If Bush goes ahead with this Amnesty insanity it could very well be the thing that dooms his reelection.
If it sounds like I am looking forward to seeing Bush II go down to defeat it's not true. I voted for the guy and am in a state of shock watching him bid away America's sovereignty to a bunch of corrupt Mexicans and business lobbyists that stuff cash in the GOP's coffers. There has to be a price to pay for taking actions in clear contradiction to the interests and sovereignty of America.
They are building their own trap and ours and are too proud of their own intellect to see it. Maybe they think they will go down in history as great men of foresight that brought the world to a glorious new age, alot of would be's have thought the same and have gone down in history as pariahs, so will they.
It's all about the club and those that will let them use them through flattery and hope for gain. Bush would not let the FBI question Ben Ladins family, while all planes were grounded on 9-11 and the day after, one jet was allowed to fly them out of the country by order of the President. It seems to some that the President get's fuzzy about who he represents, he doesn't, we are the only ones fuzzy about it.
No one talks about the Mexican border guards trying to chase down our border patrol and kill them for a Drug Lord financed $2,000.00 bounty per head. They have attacked a helicopter on our side of the border and have engaged in car chases with our border agents who are fleeing for their lives. Anyone who thinks the President of the United States is not aware of this fact is being deliberately blind, and yet it doesn't matter to him what you and I have to live with, as long as he pleases the club.
Absolutely true. In a democracy, people have only one right: The right to vote for their oppressor. Captialism is impossible in a democracy.
It seems that at least some Mexicans know this, but most Americans seem to have forgotten. Too much TV, I'd guess.
As we all should be. But, I have faith in President Bush!
(Flamesuit ON!) :o)
WR, As his father before him, Bush is a globalist. He represents "the Whole Enchilada". Peace and love, George.
SC, You're right. But, It is the "Democracy" of Mexico that the "two wings on the same bird of prey", that I call the "RepOcrats Internationale", are busy installing all over the world with U.S. of A. Armed Forces and "intelligence". Ain't the "Republic" grand??? Peace and love, George.
Of course these demands are ridiculous. This is valuable only in that it shows the kind of thinking that currently prevaila among some of Mexico's leaders.
But Castaneda goes so far overboard he hurts his own cause. Fox bothers me more because I suspect he is more effective when he "campaigns" in the United States.
It's okay for the illegals to be driven out of their own country though. I'm beginning to hate the Mexican leaders, they are nothing but liars, there are well over 200 dead young maquila workers in Juarez and that government has done almost nothing to solve those murders or protect those girls. If they cared one iota about poor people, they'd have done something about that. They won't because those are poor powerless people being killed.
F, Do you by any chance have a link on that story? It should be under "Coming to America". Or rather the U.S. of A. Peace and love, George.
Two Hundred and counting. Irma was closer to the Three hundred markF, The above from your "Nightmare in a City of Dreams" link. It's a crying shame that we at FR "take from the post's 'hits'." when we post their articles in full! This story deserves WIDE distribution. So much for the truly "conservative" opinion that "NAFTA is a good thing." NAFTA is a destroyer of many things good. Peace and love, George.

After six years and 200 slain girls and women, virtually none of the crimes, excluding those committed in domestic disputes, had been solved.

Ciudad Juarez epitomized the promises of the 1994 North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which had helped create jobs for more than 1.2 million Mexicans - 250,000 in Ciudad Juarez - who churned out consumer products for the biggest name brands in the world.

In attacking young women, the killer or killers were preying on victims furnished in part by the global economic forces so vital to Juarez's boom. The majority of the slain women worked outside the home.

The next morning Ponce's office identified the most recent victim as Irma Angelica Rosales, age 13. In truth, on the day of her killing, Feb. 16, 1999, Irma was five months shy of her 13th birthday. As in so many of the cases that came before hers, age was not the only thing the authorities would get wrong.

Warning --very sad and gory
If that's too much bother, they can take a look at the crime stats in rural Michigan. It will help if they make sure to look at the names of the arrestees, and, are able to recognize long lists of Mexican names when they see them.
Golly.
