I don't see Thatcher as one who would pay much attention to political forces that told her to shut up... about the EU or any other thing. The woman has demonstrated more than once that she is made of sterner stuff than that.

She can presumably still write, and I'm sure she will. She is, however, 76 years old, and things like strokes are part of the package. I'm sure the last thing anyone here would want is One Last Speech from the Iron Lady that turned her into a paralyzed vegetable.

We're still looking for another Reagan. The Brits will be looking for another Thatcher for a long, long time.
