Russian Vagrant Eats Zoo's Rare Bird

MOSCOW -- A 50-year-old tramp has been arrested in the western Siberian city of Novosibirsk on suspicion of eating a rare Japanese bird belonging to the local zoo, Ria Novosti reported Monday. The bird, a male Japanese crane worth around seven thousand dollars, disappeared last week shortly after it was transferred with its mate to a summer cage, local authorities told the news agency. The homeless man is accused of breaking into the cage and stealing the Japanese crane, with its distinctive white body and red head, one of only 200 such birds held in European zoos, AFP reported.

No.....
It actually tasted more like Spotted Owl.

The critters are easier to recognize now too, since the touchie-feelie morons made such a stink about them.

Spotted Owl

Once you pluck all the feathers off, it looks just like any other owl on the grill. </sarcasm>

Just when I think there is no hope for the human race, I read a story like this and I breathe easy once more.

Must have tasted like teryaki bowl.

Bwhahahahahahahahha

The funny thing about a homeless person attacking a cage and eating a rare bird is the fact that there are so many other animals in the zoo that are much tastier. Japanese Crane is a little stringy. I myself would have went for a Koala Bear or something harmless like that. Heck, I bet Chimpanzees taste pretty good. Like I always say, "That which doesn't kill you, tastes pretty good on a stick."
