That would be too good to him. I have a better idea....
Let's put him on I85(Atlanta, GA) traffic, no AC, windows down...suck on that...!!!
(:^))
As we all have been shown, allergic reactions to tobacco are FAR less common than allergies to various other organic substances like mold spores, pollen, dust mites, animal dander, perfumes, detergents, cedar & pine smoke, various grasses, etc.
The "Type of reaction" recorded above is, of course, most often "Psychosomatic." Antihistamines SELDOM help these people; they respond best to Tranquilizers & Antidepressants & Psychotherapy. They NEED our sympathy----BUT, they are FAR TOO CRAZY to be directing "Public Policy" about ANYTHING!!
Doc
Just the point I was going to make--I used to work with cancer data and ther is no evidence that second hand smoke causes cancer.
"53,000 people are killed every year...blah, blah, blah".
Folks, now we're getting into Stalinist Big Lie territory (no surprise there).
Here's a question: What causes "society" more grief (and money)?
A 17 y/o who becomes a lifetime smoker (and probably a long life at that)?
...or...
A 17 y/o who starts engaging in a lifetime of "unprotected" homosexual anal intercourse (and probably a short life at that)?
Maybe we should start taxing and making criminals out of gay guys -- don't laugh.
BTW -- I don't smoke, but like any NORMAL person, I don't care if you do. ;-)
BARF ALERT!!!
It always stuns me when a jerk like this comes down on cigaret smoking and completely ignores drugs in elementary schools. I will never forget meeting a friend one day whose ten-year old boy was with her. I can't remember why we started talking about drugs in schools, but I do remember asking her "Are there drugs in Billy's school?" She turned to Billy and asked him the question I asked her, and Billy replied "Sure, they're all over the place" and he said it in such a matter-of-fact voice like we were asking if there were teachers in his school. And we don't live in an inner city ghetto.
I also remember this same discussion with an elementary school principal who is a friend. I asked her why something drastic wasn't being done about drugs being sold in schools and she was honest in her reply. "We are afraid to take it on".
So many wussy people come out big and brave about a legal substance, but they never come out fighting about a really dangerous substance that can destroy the lives of children - leading them into lives of addiction and death.
Would be fun, wouldn't it, could we keep him in that situation for say... a week or two, or would that be kidnapping.
These folks really need to smell some ordinary underarms in Europe.
Breast cancer. Smoking causes it? No, because cancer is genetic(nature's way of telling environmentalists to get lost for good) Who pays? Us.
Aids. Who pays? Us. Why? Why should we? Where's the Aids tax?
I smoked a cigarette like 7 years ago in this bar in Pasadena. I brought the cigarette butt as evidence. How much do I get again?
Assuming this is true (which I doubt), this means that natural selection is telling this person that they're unfit and should not breed.
You are perfectly within your rights to "hate" anything you like, but you shouldn't go around spreading lies or misconceptions. YOU don't pay for US; WE pay for YOU. If you don't believe it, look up the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service report of 1994, or search the archives of the New England Journal of Medicine, or ask Yale economist Dr. Kip Viscusi. Smokers pay into the system FAR MORE than they ever take out. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
Of course not, Great Dane. Kidnapping only applies to humans. With sheep, I think the proper term would be "rustling."
