That would be tit-for-tat also. Complete anhiliation and the creation of a new refugee population by driving them into Jordan and Syria are the only alternatives for a lasting peace. It will mean war to do it, but that is the only answer, IMHO.

My condolences to the Palestinian Christians. The Palestinian Muslims deserve to be driven from the land.

Yes. There's a scholar who says that the term used in the Koran that is commonly interpreted as 72 virgins, actually makes more sense as 72 white raisins. The term for 'virgin' in Arabic is 'white raisin' in Syriac, and Syriac was a language used while the Koran was being written.

"Dozens wounded in suicide bombing in Netanya hotel "

Well, so far no deaths, that means the Israeli Military will go home early tonight.

Damascus, Riyadh, Tehran, Bagdhad, Tripoli and what passes for the capitol of North Korea should all be simultaneously reduced to radioactive rubble - for starters. Then we'll see who wants to 'negotiate'.

I still maintain that Bush has privately told Sharon, and Netanyanu, privately, just to hang on a little longer.....yes, the US looks foolish for its apparent double standard in dealing with PLO terrorism against Israel, but folks, really, the dogs of war are about to be unleashed real soon against Iraq....I say again, within 60 days..the entire Saddam regime will be gone....and then, the rest of the Arab states will be suffering huge shortages of toilet-paper, because as soon as we start on Iraq..Israel starts on the PLO....

Goofy in the sense that "72 raisins" doesn't seem as enticing as "72 virgins". Odd belief is what I was trying to say. Besides, the NYT sucks.

Waiting is so hard to do. You're a smart guy, Ken, and I hope you're right, but I wonder. What do you think of Powell as Secretary of State?

Abdullah ibn Abdul Aziz is an Islamist jerk tyrant who is interested in creating a diversion so people won't think too long about how deeply Saudi Arabia is involved in Islamist terror. And proposing a "peace plan" that would get a lot of Jews killed is a pleasant way to do it, of course.

If you were talking about Abdullah of Jordan, I'll agree that he seems like a guy who mostly just wants to be left alone.

Actually, the point is the joke is on the Islamo-loons who commit suicide. They are being fooled by a bad translation.

A bitter banquet
With escalating bloodshed in the Middle East, the joy of this year’s Passover will be considerably dimmed

By Ira Rifkin
MSNBC CONTRIBUTOR

March 26 —  The Passover seder meal traditionally ends with the words, “Next year in Jerusalem!” The words are a summation of Jewish connection to an ancestral homeland. But after almost 19 months of Israeli-Palestinian violence, a postscript might well be added: How much more will Jerusalem bleed in the year ahead?

Ha'aretz - Police said that at least ten people had been killed in the blast, at the Park Hotel, in the center of the city. The terrorist walked into the hotel's lobby and detonated an explosive device he was wearing on his body.

Fox News also discussed, as they waited to hook up with their guy in Jerusalem, the fact that the other day the PA met with Hezbollah in public for the first time, and does this make a statement of all out war.

And thanks for the shockingly large ugly mug! Yikes. :)

These bastards need to die

I think we can be pretty certain that this approach represents one of Israel's likely "next levels."

It would be much cheaper, and very much more effective, than a wholesale invasion of Palestinian areas. It wouldn't surprise me if the whereabouts of at least 80% of the PA and militia leadership was known at all times, and their locations targeted.
