This story sounds bogus. From what I've heard and read, when a person is subjected to a random attack, they're kicked and punched. When a person has derogatory words written or carved on them, it's usually bogus. We'll see how this shakes out. If the media totally abandons this story or fails to pick it up, then we'll know it is bogus. If it's for real, we'll never hear the end of it.

Truth detector on: totally bogus.
Now if they have some arrests and convictions, I will have to recalibrate my truth detector and apologize for the glitch.

This sounds like a case of self-mutilation- the Denver police are not dummies, they will figure this one out pretty fast. (Thank God it's not the "detectives" who "investigated" the JonBenet Ramsey case!)
Anyway, I'll bet a case of Heinekin that this turns out to be phony.

Although the Mora attack was unusual, de Percin said that violence against gay and lesbian youth is common in Colorado, as in fact it is everywhere. And now its provent that this is just more total BS from our "unbiased" media and government Politically Correct Spokespersons.

You are all very sick and closed-hearted individuals. How could you feel "glee" from a poor woman's attack??? Homosexuality is not learned, it is not something that one chooses. I say this as a hetero, but why do I even feel the need to disclose this fact? Why did I say that? Because if any one of you read what I wrote you would assume that I was gay. Your intolerance of homosexuals is what gives "Conservatives" a bad name. I do not share your hatred for those that are unlike the "norm." I could care less what men said eons ago in the Bible. I will not and will never believe that God created humans to be so intolerant to one another. We are put on the earth to be the best people that we can be and love ALL of mankind. I truly believe that this is the lesson to learn for all of us. Do unto others, etc. Why feel hate for something that does not affect you? I know I am in for a windfall of negatives, but I don't care. To trivialize someone's attack is sickening.

Funny, the lesbians I know don't think 'dyke' is a slur. I'm sure it becomes one when carved into someone's skin though.

We'll see how this shakes out. If the media totally abandons this story or fails to pick it up, then we'll know it is bogus. The media could care less if the story is false or not. When it is inevitably proven false, the gay community will spout the well-rehersed song and dance about how this poor girl should be commended for trying to call attention to the rampant persecution that gays are subjected to every day in our irrationally homophobic society.
That's how these false claims always seem to get spun.

An assault was reported by a lesbian at a school I used to teach at. Hate crime, dont'cha know. Turns out, after a bit of police sniffin' around, well, the perp was her "partner".

Did they remove her kidney?

When you pin someone to the ground, is that area of the forearm available to you? Usually you pin their arms above their head. Also, the lettering is too good. If you felt a knife slowly cutting you, you would attempt to pull away. This struggling would have made the carving a little difficult and the letters would not be so tightly grouped together. Also, if you are sick enough to carve into someone's skin, why the forearm and the stomache? Why not go for the forehead?

Her family/parents probably saw her various cuts and asked her about them and she probably made up the story about being attacked to cover herself.

This story has so many holes in it. No police agency is called to confirm a single thing. What I fully believe is this, it is nothing more than an Activist who did personal injury to herself and then came up with the excuse, the gay and lesbian organizations salivate they get it in the press as fact as long and hard as they can then when it is called false it just goes away but the perception stays in the minds of people which is what the gay and lesbian organizations want. Truth be damned.

What ever happened to that alleged anti-homo house burning in Montana? Have they found any suspects, or did they know better than to waste their time looking?

How does one distinguish between slur and truth.

Probably a gay lovers' spat. A few years ago, also in Denver, there was a black girl who said she was jumped by a pack of neo-nazis, and it turned out she made up the story.

Another Tawana Brawley knock off. No doubt the left will insist it is totally true, and the equivalent of a hate crime to even question it, even when her story starts to crumble, as it inevitably will.

Self mutilation is not an uncommon psychological manifestation.
