I can't think of a better way to foster disrespect for the law. If you think about it.... that's a VERY good thing. The more of these laws the better...

congrats to you on the new significant other. I can definitely relate to your problems with your "ex." Only, my problem is with a wife, not an "ex."

Maybe they can appeal this to the SUpreme Court. I think the Court as constituted would strike down the few sodomy laws left in the country. My prediction is 6-3 for finding sodomy laws unconstitutional, with Rehnquist, Scalia and Thomas dissenting. As much as I dislike these laws, they aren't a matter for federal courts unless Congress is fool enough to pass one.
The 10th Amendment makes clear that this is state jurisdiction. These are state laws, no matter how stupid they are, and they should remain in state courts.

This is good news. We need to continue to keep the immoral sexual activity away from Mardi Gras.
I can't tell if the Internet has made me stupid or just more cynical. Two years ago I would have pegged this as clear sarcasm; a statement that no one would make with serious intent. Now I just can't tell anymore.
