How can we expect parents to do the right thing within their contractual responsibilities when the first thing we do is threaten the existence of the contract itself. No freaking wonder parents become protective when a bunch of fascist sex goons are snooping around with their slobby disgusting hands threatening to take their children away or of slapping on them ignoble labels.
In my opinion such parents have good probable cause to defend themselves and their children from whomever may mention the word sex outside the parent-children scope of trust - especially since the publication of this book that gives them good cause to believe they were right. Obviously when a book title advocates irresponsible and naive contractual violations for/against children, or blames parents protecting those contractual responsibilities, this book advocates life of the jungle and denies parental jurisdiction altogether.
The review will be conducted by a panel of experts from other academic and university presses during a two-month period, said Christine Maziar, a university vice president who oversees the University of Minnesota Press. She said the review will cover policies and procedures for acquiring, reviewing and developing books."

Something else I would like to add - since I am a Minnesota taxpayer:
The University Press is an independent auxiliary of the university. Its publication costs are paid mostly through sales revenue; funding from the University of Minnesota contributes less than 2 percent, or about $100,000, of its annual budget.
And if so inclined....please do your part to oppose this book:
Call the publisher at 612-627-1977 to complain. We also urge you to demand the resignation of the person responsible for approving this manuscript by contacting President Mark Yudof's office at 612-626-1616.
I obviously have not read the book, and I do believe in making sure you are fully educated before you make any accusations - but after reading the excerpts and Q and A with the author, I feel confident in stating that this woman is somewhat of a nut....but, as always, you be the judge!
Poor fellow...though I would wager that if he is not homeschooled he knows more about women then you would think. I know I knew more then my parents thought I would ever know by the time I was twelve or thirteen...
Regardless, I have stayed far longer in this topic then I intended thanks to various people's responses...
Ping!
And after that sex with dead people....
