Some disagree if it's factual or not that the Aztecs held human sacrifices. But let's agree that they did.

What kind of response would people have if tomorrow some group decided that they wanted to emulate the Aztecs and start sacrificing children on altars? To appease their "god". In the name of their "religion". I'm talking cutting their hearts out kind of sacrifice. High priest, altar, big knife, badda-bing, badda-boom!

That's what Arafat and the moon god worshipers are doing. They are sacrificing their kids. But they have taken it much farther than the Aztecs. Do it right and you get the 72 virgins behind door number 2 and a trip for one to "paradise". As a nice parting gift (pun intended) your family will get $25,000 in cash and this nice video to remember you by. It's a game the whole family can play!

Heck, the Egyptian Arafat and other followers of Islam even have themselves a little workshop where they make new little bombers. Like some sick insane Gepetto they are constantly carving away. Making new bomber after new bomber. Little bombers willing to jump up on the altar and demand they be sacrificed.

Arafat and his ilk are obviously insane. They are mad dogs. And should be handled as one handles mad dogs.

Bush can't claim the right to root out the perpetrators of anti-American terrorism in a lawless Taleban state like Afghanistan and deny others the right to root out the perpetrators of anti-Israeli terrorism in a lawless Arafat statelet.

Just to emphasise the point, here's some of the things the Israelis have found in Arafat's compound since the tanks rolled in last Friday: 40 pistols, 19 sniper rifles, 200 MK 47 Kalashnikovs....

Well, so far, nothing unusual. If I cleared out my basement in New Hampshire, I could probably muster a similar tally. But that's not all they turned up: 43 RPG missiles, four pipe bombs, an unspecified number of empty suicide-bomber belts, hundreds of thousands of counterfeit Israeli bills in denominations of 50, 100 and 200 shekels, printing plates for counterfeiting millions more, $100,000 in counterfeit US bills....

Bump!

The 100 grand was destined for gun shows in Tejas; you betcha...

Mark Steyn: Say goodbye, Yasser Arafat

Dead-on-balls correct. Par for the course.

Put me on your ping list, dennisw. I am sometimes busy at work (um, yes) and miss things. Thanks for this.

Mark Steyn has been working like a Trojan since 9/11.

The Arab countries have always thought the 'Palestinians' were expendable. From the time of the founding of the State of Israel, through the Six Day War, then the Yom Kippur War, the Arab countries scared the Palestinians into thinking they would be massacred by the Israelis, and they fled their homes. But those same Arab countries have refused to take any of the Palestinian refugees into their countries; they put them in refugee camps and left them there to make a political point. Instead of doing something to improve the lives of the people, they used them to foment anarchy and that has been Yassar Arafat's reason for being for the last 30 years! The Palestinian Authority has NEVER wanted peace, they've only wanted Israel to go away.

The EU and talking heads at the UN may wring their hands and moan about the 'peace process', but there can only be real peace when BOTH sides want it.

Israelis are doing what they needed to do years ago. I pray that GW will continue to take action by choosing inaction, thereby allowing Israel to handle its terrorists in its own way. Note, since the incursion by Israelis into the West Bank there have been NO suicide bombers. Doesn't that prove the Israelis are handling it correctly? It also proves that Arafat is the ringleader of all the violence. Take away his infrastructure and he is impotent.

BTW, where does one man (Mark Steyn) get sooooo much insight and talent in seeing the big picture while looking through murky waters.

liberals long ago checked their humor at the door.

Unless it's dripping with sarcasm and cynicism.

This is just stunningly insightful, even for Steyn, for whom "insightful" is commonplace.

I was especially taken with his explanation for the necessity of taking out Hussein because people of Iraq, more secular and educated than SA, Egypt, and Syria inhabitants, are more likely to become a true democracy once their insane leader is gone.

In Iraq and Iran, there’s a sporting chance that regime change would bring about improvement. In Egypt, Syria and Saudi Arabia, it’s far more problematic. The best way to destabilise the Islamist regimes is by destabilising the non-Islamist one first.

Makes sense.

That's what Arafat and the moon god worshipers are doing.

Yup. Islam is an extension of the worship of Molec. Just another pagan religion to control and deceive the masses.

Arafat and his ilk are obviously insane.

Nope. They are evil, not insane. They know exactly what they are doing.
