Bush cant claim the right to root out the perpetrators of anti-American terrorism in a lawlessTaleban state like Afghanistan and deny others the right to root out the perpetrators of anti-Israeliterrorism in a lawless Arafat statelet. Lessons we seem to be learning:
1. There is a difference between blowing up Americans
and blowing up Israelis.
2. Oil corrupts absolutely.
3. "Put some ice on that," is gaining new meaning.
4. Patton only had it part right. The paradigm of war
is neither to die for your country nor get your
enemy to die for his, but to get someone else
to die for your country.
5. Not all terrorism is evil.
6. When you get right down to it, religion is divisive.
7. "You can have everything you want, but that's
my final offer," isn't surrender after all because
it isn't enough.

Great article ping, also see post 11.

*Sigh* This is so depressing to me. Steyn is right, of course, again, as usual. They just cannot win. I have this vague feeling that all of this is somehow connected.

Its useless to pretend theres anything to negotiate. Well said, Mark Steyn, and it bears repeating:
Its useless to pretend theres anything to negotiate.
Its useless to pretend theres anything to negotiate.
Its useless to pretend theres anything to negotiate.
Its useless to pretend theres anything to negotiate.
Its useless to pretend theres anything to negotiate.
Its useless to pretend theres anything to negotiate.

GOOD ONE! Unfortunately for Israel it looks like the U.S. with Powell's visit there is prepared to keep that filthy gangster terrorist alive aka Arapuke - counterfeiting, suicide bomb complicity and other such garbage - notwithstanding.

...Heck, the Egyptian Arafat and other followers of Islam even have themselves a little workshop where they make new little bombers. Like some sick insane Gepetto they are constantly carving away. Making new bomber after new bomber. Little bombers willing to jump up on the altar and demand they be sacrificed. Arafat and his ilk are obviously insane. They are mad dogs. And should be handled as one handles mad dogs.
Interesting. When you said 'Gepetto' I was anticipating Gestapo...because the Germans tried to re-create people, too. To turn them into machines for the state.
Your post gave me a chill. We all wish Hitler had been taken out much earlier, one wonders if sitting by and pandering to Arafat isn't a deadly delay as well.

He provokes a lot of debate here in Canada.I talk to customers who read him and agree/disagree some times I even debate the issues. He even at times has talk show hosts open with his columns. This is one of his best.

No confirmation .....but can you believe these messy little Jihadists leave 100,000 in counterfeit dollars laying around! Inbred and murder is the name of the game. Likely very poor counterfeits but who knows?

if youve declared war on terrorism, you cant pick and choose. A suicide bomber detonating himself in a restaurant and a suicide pilot detonating his plane in a skyscraper are differences merely of degree. Bush cant claim the right to root out the perpetrators of anti-American terrorism in a lawless Taleban state like Afghanistan and deny others the right to root out the perpetrators of anti-Israeli terrorism in a lawless Arafat statelet. I agree with this 100%. Thanks for pinging me to this article.

"I've heard many liberals confess that they can't stand reading Anthony Lewis or Frank Rich, though they'll never admit it in public. Even for those who agree with their views, liberal columnists just aren't worth reading. There's no pleasure in it, no humor, no style, and no intellectual return." Your analysis of liberal writers and columnists is right on the mark. In particular, the parts about "no pleasure" and "no intellectual return." I've found that to so true that I've stopped reading any liberal/leftist writers ten years ago.

All the powers that be seem to be doing a good job of protecting Arafat. It does not take much intelligence to figure out that all these terrorist groups are intertwined and had something to do with 9-11. Right now I would say Israel is fighting the good fight. What I cannot figure is why the UN and Euros support terrorism. Of course drugs, money and oil might have something to do with it. Or maybe they have all gond mad and need a rabis shot.

ITS TIME FOR HIM TO GO!!! Sorry President Bush and Secretary Powell, but you're way behind the curve on this one.

What I cannot figure is why the UN and Euros support terrorism. The UN... what can one expect from the guys who had thrown America away from the Human rights commission (or what was it's right label?) and elected the Sudan and the likes to sit on this respectful body? The UN was long ago transformed into a diaper-heads club, and what is the most funny of it, all the bills made by Coughy Anal and Co are footed by those pariahs, the Americans!
As for the Euros, anything which is bad for Jews is just OK for them. They're plain and incorrigible anti-Semites.
