However, as public schools deteriorate, home schooling will only continue to grow
The left has now discovered this is a growing phenomena and is taking steps to "correct" the situation. Watch out home-schoolers, you are now in the government cross hairs.

I should add that this alone scares me about "government vouchers" for private school. WHEREVER, WHEREVER government $ goes, there follows REGULATIONS. No doubt the left is already scheming how to turn every private school into a pit of h*ll, just like many of the public schools.

Carol Guardia, a former child welfare and attendance coordinator for Sacramento County insists district officials are merely looking out for the educational welfare of the students. "For every competent home-schooler out there, there are 300 who are not, using it for an excuse to keep their kids home,"

What exactly does an "attendance coordinator" do?

Between her formal job title, and her arrogrant attitude about homeschooling, it's apparent that she is nothing more than a communist servant to the Kalifornia tyrants.

So, home-schooling deprives the system not only of high-achieving children, but of those parents who would otherwise be most actively involved in the education process. It is this loss of these "human resources" that makes home-schooling such a threat to the status quo.

They want parent labor and parent money, but they don't want parent participation. They don't even want us on the campus as they would rather we didn't know what was going on. I also disagree on a matter of emphasis. The real threat of home-schooling is the transformation of the families who do it. Every time parents confront what they don't know, that they need to teach their kids, they get to go fix the damage done by THEIR public education. Home-schooling re-educates TWO generations of voters simultaneously. That is why the fascist system so greatly fears it.

For those who have doubts about home-schooling perhaps you might read Charlotte Iserbyt's book, The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America or John Taylor Gatto's book, An Underground History of American Education to understand where the public system is really going. It is so bad that any idiotic argument about socialization should be shown for what it is: the covetous desire to control how MY KIDS think. It is socialism. Nothing more.

Essentially, at least from the tone of the article, the bureaucrats in California are saying: " Your child is the property of the State, to which the State can do whatever it pleases. "

Are you done making an ass of yourself?

I would debate with you the points that you raised, but will refrain from the attempt until you demonstrate that you are rational.

Oh - you were using sarcasm. You're new here so maybe you haven't learned that sarcasm doesn't come across well in text. Most here end such a post with a (/sarcasm) tag to ensure that no one misunderstands their point.

I looked at your other posts on FR and thought you'd lost it when you posted in this thread. Your statements were not consistent with the views you've expressed elsewhere.

You are right. If they come for my kids, no one will want to defend me because I'm obviously an unfit parent due to my "extremist, anti-government" views. Weapons found, anti-government literature, extremist websites, etc. Most FReepers will want to distance themselves from the controversy because most people in this nation mistakenly believe that if CPS is investigating you for or charging you with child abuse, then there must be something actually going on. The statistics (80% of all children abducted by CPS are taken on unsubstantiated/unproven charges - the number is actually much higher because MOST parents agree to stipulate that actual abuse occured in an attempt to get their kids back) don't prove this out, but that doesn't seem to sway some people at all.
