Many (most) cannot afford private/relgious/parochial school costs@ The solution is to take back the schools and make the Dept. of Ed. accountable for curriculum delivery, and standards!

We tried. We lost. (See 1980's.) Dobson is 30 years late. Government schools were lost in the 60's. I home schooled through the 80's. We were ridiculed, told that kids were supposed to "evangelize" the lost in the schools. Where were these guys when they should have been running from the public schools? They were telling us to stay put. It wasn't until the 90's that Evangelicals started to create their own schools, but as you've noted, it can be costly.

The answer still is the home school. (If both parents are working and can't afford a Christian school, then they need serious career/financial counseling.)

No matter who wins elections in the present corrupt party system, the public schools continue to be corrupt. The only thing that will change the situation is the creation of a new political party. But, presently the non countercultural left is too fractured and kookie to form a political force. As one poster here sain, "If Laura is for it, that creates a rebuttal presumption for me that I should be against it." ...a not overly brilliant statement. That is the attitude that is putting leftist kooks in charge of the public school system. The worst enemies of of educational reform are exemplified among people on this forum.

Good post. I'm glad to see the support 'Separation' is getting.

For what it's worth, I went to SoCal public school with Dr. Dobson's daughter.

Interesting! What was she like...was she as full of common sense and intellect as her father seems to be? Were you a friend of hers? Did you meet the dead on Dr Dobson yourself?

Danae (sp?) was smart, quiet and red-headed. I knew her but we were not "friends". I don't think anyone knew who her Pa was, this was the late 70's. I found out who she was when I saw one of her books. I never met the Mr., but admire what I know of him.
