There's a remarkable non-fiction [!] book available called "Secret Weapons : Two Sisters' Terrifying True Story of Sex, Spies and Sabotage," by Cheryl Hersha, Lynn Hersha, Dale Griffis, Ted Schwarz in which two young women claim that this is already the case, and that they've been through the government creation program, and functioned as acive agents for years. (The book was published prior to 9/11, and they make some interesting observations about the US military and its planning regarding wide-spread domestic unrest...)
The co-authors are actual professionals who put their reputations on the line to be associated with the book. It's almost impossible to believe any of it is true, but there is a lot of Establishment media pressure to pass this stuff off as "sexy" and "cool" -- witness such stuff as Dark Angel and Spy Kids. When I'm feeling in a tin foil way, I just assume that the media is trying to make us think such stuff is cool because the reality is SO ugly, SO horrible, SO actually monstrous that even Americans wouldn't put up with it if we knew for sure that it was actually going on...
