They're wireless, and I just reach out the window and wipe them off when the picture gets fuzzy.

Each time an anolog video signals go through a wall, it gets weakened. Nanny camera have range up to 500 ~ 2000 ft LOS range. Some signal might leak through the outside wall of the house but will not travel far.
If a nnany cam was located near the window, yes someone right outside might pick it up, but just by adding a yagi antenna on a Rx from 1/4 mile away can not pick up a signal that does not exist.
You can not put a booster antenna in a nanny cam because the antenna is at least 2 ft long. If someone was to use a repeater to send a signal far away using a yagi antenna, then anyone in that path can pick up. But that is a rare case.

Back at the Staples store in Madison, employees said they did not know that they were being watched by security monitors.

If I found that my boss was monitoring me without telling me first, my resignation would leave him stretched out on the floor, unconcious.

I am not a slave and my employer does not have unlimited rights over me.

I've been thinking seriously about installing a low end closed circuit TV system in the house we will soon build -- including a camera at each entry. It shouldn't be too tough to conceal it.

I don't want a wireless one for several reasons.

"Who ever wrote the article did not research too much, rather went on with his or her assumptions."

Bull, several months ago as I was running down some interference I did the same drive test with a 4 channel video receiver. In my 10 mile drive on major highways I picked up 10 clear video cams.

One, in particular had a 4 cam sequencer for security in his townhouse. It was easy to see that he had no downstairs windows covered. I could have broken it and hauled off half of his belongings and he wouldn't have had a single picture.

Just to give you some idea, I saw shopping center lots, heavy equipment storage lot, cash registers at gas stations, inside homes, etc. As I passed subdivisions I got lots of very fuzzy pics, but I didn't have time or interest running them down. In every case the cam told me what couldn't be seen, and where I could defeat the cam.

I also purchased a cheap wireless cam and could without any special antenna on either the tx or rx pick it up over 1000ft with the cam inside my house.

So, the cameras you have picked up are not nanny cams correct ??? What I'm saying is you can put attach a high power Tx with commercial security cameras but not in a nanny cams becuase of the volumetric limitations.
