When Mahony cleared him, Brandlin said, he immediately made him a prison chaplain. "He thought I'd hate it," the deacon says gleefully, "but I love it."This one sentence speaks volumes about the character of both men!

You're right, when you get two or three to agree to certain allegations then we have a 'band wagon' effect. It would be interesting to find out the ratio between the positive and negative accusations..I'm sure the Media would never divulge that statistic. The Media is in a frenzy at this time.. they are selling their papers, profits are soaring and they only would revel in divisiveness among the faithful.

Remember folks, it is "innocent until proven guilty," not the reverse. Not in child molestation cases. Once you have been accused, you have to register as an abuser forever even if you are never tried or convicted.

I think this might reduce the number of false accusations:
Deuteronomy 19
17 "the two men involved in the dispute must stand in the presence of the Lord before the priests and the judges who are in office at the time. 18 The judges must make a thorough investigation, and if the witness proves to be a liar, giving false testimony against his brother, 19 then do to him as he intended to do to his brother. You must purge the evil from among you."
