Specifically, police are told to be alert for "suspicious" people who are gathering information about police activities or calling police on the phone "posing" as reporters. The memo recommends that police should photograph people on the streets who are photographing, videotaping or taking notes.

The memo paints a negative image of protestors and independent reporters, and was issued a day before rank and file officers take to the streets to work during the demonstrations.

I agree! Those that are responsible for weakening America (the emasculated and emasculators), usually have *all* the C-Span phone lines tied up so I was amazed that AR, and that one self-identified black woman were able to get through.

Unlike many of those posting here, I think there is great value in giving Marxists all the rope they need to hang themselves in front of everybody. The more Becker talked, the more he exposed himself as the Alex Balwin/Jane Fonda-look-alike that he is. Why get in the way of an idiot when he's in the process of self-destructing?

Kristinn didn't take any of Becker's "bait" (his Cheney/Haliburton accusation, etc.), but instead stayed cool and on message. It appeared to me as if Kristinn was able to make every single bottom line point he came there to make and did not allow himself to be distracted from them.

The left would have loved to have seen Becker knock Kristinn off balance and into a rant giving them an opening to portray him and Free Republic as a bunch of wild-eyed fanatics.

Thank you, Kristinn!! I videotaped the whole thing. We had notified relatives (not Freepers) to watch this morning, and they were ALL impressed with your demeanor AND your low-key, but firm, confident responses. You did us all proud!

Wish I could have made it to DC for today's rally with all of you. I'll try and videotape it if any of the news media air any of their coverage of the FR rally.

Is Becker out of the Ramsey Clark group that supplied the protestors at the Bush Inaugral parade.
