Ruth Christine's Dad bailed her out of jail over two weeks ago. He didn't spend time with Ruth, he left the country immediately after posting bond. I asked the question "What is up with Philip Medland?" and asked a few other questions implying that there may be a rift between Ruth and her parents. Bingo. It now becomes clear that his bailing her out may have been his final act as her father until she gets her head together.
Ruth has stated that she has no contact with the girls in England, that choice was made by her own parents. The court imposed no such restrictions when she and Brian relinquished their parental rights earlier this year.

Did Brian Christine hang out in Eugene a lot?

They said they enjoyed the people in Oregon and wanted the children to have the benefit of a wonderful community. Personally, I think their bus broke down and they threw in with the wack jobs.

This may be the best solution. If the kids' parents are really OK, then they can be reunited with their kids back in England. If they are not, then the grandparents can keep custody. At least this way the kids are out of the hands of the social-service mafia.
I suspect that the Oregon authorities may have been increasingly embarrassed by the whole situation, fearful of bad publicity, and glad to find a compromise way out of a sticky situation. Now the kids are out of the hands of the state and back in the hands of their family. And if the family has any sense, they will go through the motions and do as they are told until they are all free from threats of jail and of losing their kids.

Hey, I grew up in Eugene. My Family finally left Eugene completely this year. Great people, neat little town, great football, and a nice college... but there are just too damned many Communists. Radical, violent, professionally trained Communists at that.
It is a shame, Eugene is one of the most beautiful towns I've ever been in. Other than the anti-American scumb in the Whitaker neighborhood it has very low crime. The problem will go away as soon as the softheaded liberals let the cops do their jobs.

Maybe the grandparents will have better luck with their grandchildren than they did with the wack job parents.

Yeah that's right, the other two girls are being raised by Brian's mother in Indiana.

Radical, violent, professionally trained Communists at that. Not incapable of making an "anonymous" phone call? To help facilitate the martyrdom of the, then, newest member to the community?

The Medland family claim their daughter has been "brainwashed" by members of the anarchist group which opposes the American governmentGood. The family has an accurate grasp of the situation.
