First of all there is no such thing as being 'gay'. It is entirely a behavioral choice. Of course this choice is influenced by an underlying mental illness called Same-sex Attraction Disorder (SAD).

The question is "why, after all these years, is this guy choosing a life of perversion"?

My guess would be that prior to the detachment starting her husband became addicted to pornography. Heterosexual porn gave way to child porn gave way to homosexual porn as he became desensitized to normal desires. (That is, he got used to regular porn and needed to try something else to get his fix).

You need therapy. NOW.

This story has hair on it like any other contrived demo stuff to get you to express your feelings. My reaction to the premise offered is a hypothetical kick to the groinal area for cheating either with a man or a woman. Then the fun starts.

Here is the virus eating away at modern morality- the idea that you are defined by whatever sexual practices appeal to you. That idea is absurd on its face, yet here we are restructuring our morals, laws, and families to accomodate this absurdity.

Here's a crazy idea: The fact that someone is a husband and father is far more defining of his identity than any unusual sexual attractions he might have. A husband and father who abandons his family to live out his sexual fantasies regardless of the nature of those fantasies should be villified, not supported.
