Waited a few hours to post this because I had that feeling too. But then we get so much gay propaganda about how the "lifestyle" doesn't hurt anyone I thought some balance would be appropiate.

Looking around at support groups for people who have their spouse do this to them indicates it is not a rare occurance. A lot of people are torn to shreds over it.

If the guy didn't have children and decided to take off for San Francisco, I would have a different opinion. Once you become a parent, your main duty is to your children. He decided to pretend to be straight for 20 years, he could keep on this way. The same thing goes for all parents ---once you become one you have obligations to them, not yourself.

In Ireland especially, how likely is it that a married woman who's been dumped would go out out of her way to make her estranged husband as comfortable as possible, and take on all the financial responsibilities with a household of kids !?? This is a very conservative society; they didnt even have divorce until fairly recently.. And this is not even accounting for the homosexuality !...
