I didn't find this when I searched.

The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic was honored to have Joseph Farah speak at the Patriots Rally for America on April 20, 2002.

The signs should have read "Enslave Palestine" because that's what would happen if they ever took over Israel.

Former Ambassador to the United Nations Jeanne Kirkpatrick explained back in the 1980s that self-governing nations or free republics seldom attack one another.

Bears repeating...

End the occupation? By all means - return Istanbul to the Greeks! Give Greeks the "right of return" to Turkey!

Instead, they were referring to Israel's defense of its own sovereign territory - land won in a defensive battle with its neighbors 35 years ago
So true. Only one problem though, if this is how it's supposed to be, then Israel must either ethnically cleanse it's sovereign territory or make its inhabitants citizens with full rights (those who refuse are free to leave - Arafat would be on the first plane to Iraq I guess). Israel must choose its path - giving up the land, [full/partial] ethnic cleansing, apartheid or democracy.

"75,000 " ???

Hmmm - must be Million Moron Math students as this number is up quite a bit from their articles last week claiming 10,000!

Did you notice all those people wearing "Free Palestine" bumper stickers that also had an American Flag on them? So - what?- aren't there any other countries in the world besides us? Anyway, a free and independent "Palestine" is exactly what US and Israeli policy wants. Trouble is that Arafat's terrorist PLO will never let it happen - they need the "palestinians" to remain in refugee status so as to be used as pawns to further their hatred towards democracy and judeism. Too bad these people can't understand this.

I kept trying to let some of these people (just the quiet ones without large signs) over to our side to listen to our most excellent speakers, but the Metro police wouldn't have any of that. They were making their own judgement calls which kind of pissed me off. These people really need to be exposed to truth, justice, and American FReeper ideals. Oh well, maybe someday.

At several points during the counter-rally, some of the 75,000 pro-Arab demonstrators moved across the street and literally surrounded the freedom-loving, flag-waving, pro-American activists who still vividly recalled Sept. 11. It took action by Washington's finest, including some on horseback, to drive back the Arafat lovers.

He needs to be more accurate. We were never surrounded, we were, however, infiltrated by over 100 Pro-Palistinian/Left Wing folk, THEN the large mass of between 800 to 1000 protestors started to cross the street to advance on us.

"75,000"??

From what the IACenter says, they had 100,000. I am no master judge of crowds, but I was there and would say 30,000 to be very generous.

Excellent point. If any Islam lover could point out a single example of Moslems returning conquered lands to the former occupants, it would strengthen their claims in 'Palestine'.

Thanks for the ping! I was glad to have been there... to see what Mr. Farah described. Incredibly sad and, frankly, rather alarming.

Thanks for the post and the ping, Angelwood.

The war between the Jews and the Arabs has been going on for several thousand years. I see no reason for it not to continue for several thousand more. One can safely say that they genuinely do not like each other.

America's challenge is to not get drawn into the fray in such a way that the beacon of hope that is a FRee American Republic is not extinguished. As the only bastion (and we are losing it piece-meal) of FReedom and republican self-government in the world, if we allow ourselves to get caught up in this truly Old Testament war, we could become just another third world bananna republic.
