The cops are eating their own.
I bet your tin foil hat cost you a pretty penny.
Last I checked, officers of the law are on the enforcement side - not the creating side.
A police state ? I sure hope you are not refering to your home state. I had several encounters with law enforcement agencies while there. 1) going just a tad over the posted speed limit - let go with a stern warning. 2) one each Sheriff Buford T. Justice (big pot belly, mirrored sun glasses) just did not like my truck. I assume he figured he would find / smell something, don't know. He let me go - after a bit. 3) Fish and Game - using wrong equipment on wrong part of river. Man, you talk about "code" for rules on fishing. Wow. And after a bit of a lecture he let me go. The military ID did no harm in all above.
Decent bunch of folks I'd say - 'cept maybe for Buford - he was a butt.

Don't be so smug. You are only a few names down on the same list.</p.
What do you figure mere illegal posession will earn an officer?

*IL: Chicago Mayor Daley, German Gun Control and the Illinois FOID *
Daley? He is drunk with absolute power. But even the most powerful fall. This is not the 1950's. This is 2002.
I may make it a personal goal to personally politically bring him down.
Could it be that his buddies would like a disarmed public?
A survey several years ago in the Philadelphia PD showed that fully half of all the police officers would engage in door to door no knock raids to confiscate firearms "if all the paperwork was in order" in spite of both state and federal constitutions guaranteeing the RKBA.
My comment is that after a few of those JBT's were killed, you would find far fewer volunteers for door to door raids.
Last I checked, they were supposed to be PEACE officers, preventing honest citizens from being harmed by others, instead of the stings, falsified warrants, and confiscation as booty for enforcement of arbitrary draconian laws.
Another JBT?
Amarillo, Texas-The homeowner was forced to lie down in his kitchen when hundreds of rounds were hitting his house. The dead officer was later found to have been shot by one of their own and the homeowner never had a firearm available. Charges were dropped.
California-The seige where Beck was holding off the officers and a neighbor had to tell some of the firing officers that they were shooting at the wrong house. One on the officers looked at the other and said something like, "I thought it was the blue house?". The owners of the wrong house escaped injury by taking refuge in a bathroom with their baby.
It might be a good idea to remove all the exposed tree roots around your house. You don't want to be shot in the head by the SWAT team.
