These Florida kids are at the Hard Rock Cafe in New Orleans TODAY warming up before their appearance at the New Orleans Jazz Festival on Saturday. They'll be in concert at the Syracuse NY Jazz Festival next month sharing the bill with Al Jarreau, Roberta Flack and Diane Shurr. If you've never seen America's Youngest Big Band, ages 7 - 12, you don't know what you're missing. Here's one photo but if you visit their web site, you can sample their music and meet the bandmembers. All bandmembers do vocals too.

Music Education has been very good to these kids - honing their talents,lots of travel and they are impressive.

They're out of Clearwater, FL. Sonny was originally from Cuba. Their web site is wonderful. Giant pictures of the kids - couldn't post them all here. Music samples there too. If you visit their web site, I'm sure you can get some information on their itinerary.

They are a can't miss. I think I'll email their url to Jeb. That would be a great get together Jeb and America's Youngest Big Band!

Are these the photos you were looking for? Found them in a search on google. I love how Jeb named the dog Marvin, no doubt after his brother Marvin! And the cat is named Sugar.

Those are the pictures. They have a brother named Marvin? LOL You know, is that a black lab? My friend from high school believes she went to college with Jeb in Raleigh-Durham N.C. At that time, this kid named Jeb she knew because she's a dog lover had a black lab.

She called me specifically the other day from Tally to ask me where he went to school. People in Florida are coming down with Jeb Fever. It's like he's a rock star or something.

This friend was engaged to Greg Allman after Cher but she broke it off because of his addictive personality and people were always taking advantage of him and he didn't seem to mind.

Excellent, thanks for the link. Really like the way Sonny pictures each kid with kind words, what a great influence this guy must be in their impressionable ages, far better than TV. Here in Texas the more formal band and choir isn't usually offered until junior high. Bet the Clearwater Band and Choir directors love this guy, with all the talent he develops. Do you work with this group?
