do they still make the .22 bb caps?BB caps or CB caps? (CB caps have a case about half as long as a "22 short" case, and a conical bullet)
If this is what you mean, I seem to recall seeing some within the last few years, but can't recall where.

It always amazes me how Left wing whackos like Sebelius hate big business but love big government. Does he understand that if you piss off big business, all they can do is not sell you something but if you piss off big government, they can imprison or kill you - no questions asked?
Hmmmm ... ????

A liberal who's read more than just the commerce clause. That's novel.

But note the "comrades" ...Who cares. Even commies like guns. :o)

do they still make the .22 bb caps? I've got CB long and short caps in .22 if that's what your talking about. Sounds like a mouse fart compared to my 454.
Of course, no recoil is kinda nice.

A Google search will have both BBs and CBs.
Without looking,I'm thinking Cheaper Than Dirt carries caps.
To: ex con
do they still make the .22 bb caps? You mean the CB subsonic .22 shorts? My pals and I always thought CB stood for 'Cat Blasters'. They were just the ticket for getting rid of feral felines in our semi-rural suburb without alerting all the little old cat ladies to our dastardly deeds... Hardly any more report than a cap gun or an air rifle.

If I could go down the the local gunshop and buy a silencer for a pistol, I'd be target shooting in my BASEMENT! A nice little ruger .22 semi auto pistol with a silencer and sub sonic ammunition would make a great indoor plinker.
Here's what you want: Ciener/Ruger Mark II with integral suppressor.

. It's there to make sure no government ever gets so big and oppressive that we turn into slaves Now if this half-gets-it liberal (and what an unusual half to get) could only figure out the connection between feeding the Beast and the threat of reaching such a state of affairs. It's the liberal program -- not the conservative one -- that eggs government on to the point of menacing its citizens.

Actually, many people could set up shooting ranges intheir basements even without silencers. The subterranean location would muffle noise pretty well, especially with double (or triple!) pane windows on the usually small basement windo openings. Ventilation would require a little work though, since opening the windows and running fans would blow the noise muffling (and also the heat bills in winter). But setting up a strategically located intake vent with a longish duct leading to an exhaust fan ought to do the trick.
It would have a tremendous impact on the 2A rights movement if a lot of people would start doing this, and inviting their friends and neighbors over to shoot. Most anti-gunners have little familiarity with guns, and this would be a great way to spread familiarity.

yeah they still make 22bb caps. I don't know if they still call them bb caps though, and they are imported from germany and cost at least twice as much as regular 22 long rifle ammo. Also, they aren't that quiet. I can't tell the difference between a 22bb cap and ordinary subsonic 22 long rifle ammo.
To: DuncanWaring
No. A bb cap is different. The ones I bought a few years ago have a copper case and absolutely zero powder. They only have a primer. The projectile is a lead bb, hence the name, that falls out of the case rather easily. They are quite expensive too, compared to regular 22 long rifle ammo.

Who knows more about guns than Al Gore, Diane Feinstein, and Rosie O'Donnel?
Chuck "guns are fun" Schumer?

Try looking up Aguila ammunition. I looked in the Cheaper Than Dirt Catalog and they have a .22 that just has the primer and a 20 grain lead bullet with 375 FPS.

"It's a shortsighted, wrongheaded and totally futile instinct, not to mention the fact that gun ownership is protected by the Second Amendment. I know my leftist friends have read the Constitution, since they quote from the First, Fourth, Fifth and 14th Amendments all the time." Dang skippy.
"This week, the Bush administration argued in court papers before the U.S. Supreme Court that the Second Amendment protects an individual's right to own guns, and is not simply a guarantee of weapons for the National Guard. "The current position of the United States ... is that the Second Amendment more broadly protects the rights of individuals, including persons who are not members of any militia or engaged in active military service or training, to possess or bear their own firearms," says a brief written by Solicitor General Theodore Olson. It's a shift from the Clinton days, when the government didn't endorse the idea of constitutionally protected private gun ownership."
Excellent...
"How far does the Second Amendment go? All the way: A fully automatic AK-47? You bet. Heckler & Koch MP5, with suppressor? Absolutely. The classic M-14? Can't get enough of them. A Barrett .50-caliber rifle with a round that can rip through a car's engine block like Oscar Goodman through a martini? I'll take two. And toss in the classic Bond piece, the Walther PPK, would you? For formal occasions."
A 5-round burst law would make me happy!!
Great article, alaskanfan.

I just dug out a little plastic "tin" of bb caps that I bought several years ago. The label reads:
100 Flobert-Patronen
6mm
Rundkugein
Dynamit Nobel
Akteingesellschaft
TROISDORF
and the price tag on the back reads: $10.69
the tin holds only 100 rounds, so that's about 11 cents per round...pretty expensive for twenty-twos. There's a picture of an acorn stamped in the base of the "brass" of each round. I put "brass" in quotes because it appears to be made of copper, not brass.
To: alaskanfan
It wasn't the SS model was it? Two tone paint.....black with a white roof, and a red naugahide(sp) interior.
Technically, that was 3 dueces, not a sixpak. A sixpak is a mopar tradmark and is one careuretor having 6 barrels. 3 dueces is 3 carbeuretors each with 2 barrels.
