If this case isn't thrown out of court immediately it will be the beginning of the end for the USA.

The fact that someone, who aren't even citizens, should have legal recourse is evidence enough that we have reached the end.

The claim says the agencies rejected a request made shortly before the deaths by the Tucson humanitarian group Humane Borders to place 60-gallon water stations in the refuge, as it has done in other parts of the desert.

This is unfreaking believable.

"Danger. Do not fly plane into building."

Gosh, Liberalism can be funny--if only it didn't cost that many lives! :-(

Anyway, I know we're gonna get them. They're so stupid they can't possibly win. Let's roll!

Why is it not the responsibility of the Mexican government to put water in the desert? Hmmmmm....

The Mexican government can put water on their side of the border.

We should put land mines on our side.

My brother in law is Dutch and when he first came here - and that was in the 70s - he was amazed at all the signs we had warning people not to do certain things i.e. "no jumping" etc. He said in Holland they took it for granted that everyone could figure this stuff out for themselves. Well I can figure out for myself to not wander the desert - there is no WATER - thats why its a desert! Another thing, I have no idea why we don't put more emphasis on forcing the Mexican government to take care of its citizens. Some rich people there are getting away with murder.

"If this case isn't thrown out of court immediately it will be the beginning of the end for the USA."

You got that right.

I guess the balseros coming from Cuba should expect some 7-Eleven convenience stores floating out in the Gulfstream where they can pick up some water and such.

Can someone help me here... I thought that one of the main reasons an area is a desert is because there is no water? So, to be able to sue there has to be negligence... is that correct? Now, the suit claims there was no water in the desert and the US is negligent. Therefore the United States is responsible for there being deserts?

But you are trying to be logical and greedy cash grabbing lawyers don't care about logic - they're going to try the race card route instead of logic.

"...smugglers who were leading illegal immigrants through the more remote areas were "duping" their clients."

Gotta believe criminally-nailing these smugglers would make future would-be smugglers to think twice before making illegal-smuggling a career path.

Yep, I was going to point out that misreported distance, too.

===
From the Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge website (reporters can use the internet, too....right?) Boundless desert surrounds you in Cabeza Prieta, the third largest national wildlife refuge in the lower 48 states. Here, seven rugged mountain ranges cast shadows over barren valleys once swept by lava. Saguaros loom in stark profile above the baked earth. A 56-mile, shared border with Sonora, Mexico, might well be the loneliest international boundary on the continent.

and

Getting There: From Phoenix, take I-10 west to exit 112, follow Highway 85 south to Gila Bend, continue south on 85 approximately 40 miles to Ajo. From Tucson, take Highway 86 (Ajo Way) west across the Tohono O'odham reservation to Why, follow Highway 85 north to Ajo. From Yuma, take I-8 east to Gila Bend, follow Highway 85 south approximately 40 miles to Ajo. The refuge office is on the west side of the highway at the north end of town.
=====

Sounds like at the furthest north point it is near Ajo, Arizona which lies on highway 85N. That would seen to be a major highway too. The southern boundary is on the border.

More BS from Eastern reporters to make it sound like the people were hundreds of miles from hope and home (Sonoyta Mexico is just 30 miles south of Ajo)

Shouldn't someone sue our government for putting water to help criminals? Isn't it against some law (there are SO MANY laws and growing each day) to facilitate crime?

Hmmm....do I really even need to make an irony-related comment here? Spotted owl? Snail darter? Klamath? ANWR?

OK- while we are going to encourage crime - how about the following suggestions:

1. Require all banks to leave their doors and vaults open after close each afternoon. We wouldn't want any thieves to get hurt trying to break in or accidentally get locked in a safe, would we.
2. Remove barbed wire/razor wire from fences around prisons and other secure facilities - we wouldn't want anyone getting hurt trying to get in or out!
3. Take away all my firearms so that some poor un-suspecting burglar who is breaking into my home to steal my stuff and possibly hurt/kill me or my family - doesn't get his brains blown out. (Ooops - liberals already trying that one on us all....).

Where does it end? Quite honestly - anyone dying in the commission of a crime, especially when the death is directly related to the risk taken, deserves what they get.

....Then again, I feel that any landowner with land near the border should have the right to shoot tresspassers on sight - especially including illegals.

While the Liberals don't openly admit that they want to encourage crime, they in fact want to redefine crime. In a Liberal's eyes, it is a crime to:

Tyranny defined.
