No, it isn't the end of the story. You do NOT know whether she had enough information. You do not know that her purpose in attending the assembly was not to gather information that was withheld.

She was invited to attend by a school-board member, and I can see plainly why she would think that such an invitation would be permission enough to attend. It SHOULD be.

Let's see. You "feel" her purpose was to disrupt, and assert she was treated no differently than a disruptive student. In the real world, aren't students dealt with AFTER they become disruptive? Nothing in the article points to her causing disruption of any sort. Yet your democrat publik skewl buddies ban her because they obviously "perceive" her to be a threat. What are they hiding here? And where is your vaunted "tolerance"? If the agenda can' t stand the light of day, it shouldn't be in the school. More glaring proof that the public schools are a disgrace!!

When our children were growing up in Florida (not too long ago) the parents were encouraged to watch the sex education films (hetrosexual) with the children so that the subject matter could then be discussed with their own children as the parents saw fit.

Public schools can't even protect students from a kindergartener with a pointed-finger gun...

1. Exactly what is there to protect here? How many bullets will a pointed-finger gun shoot, and how much damage will they do? How many people will this fearsome weapon put in the hospital? Why it is so dangerous that the public schools must protect people from it?

2. If your point is that playing "cops and robbers" or some such game is a dangerous activity that innocent children must be protected from, I have several articles that refute this concept.

3. If your point is that children must never take out their aggression or anger by "finger shooting" someone, then you may have a point. However, a recommendation on a good anger-management program would be more helpful than just complaining about what the schools "can't" do. (I.e., help solve the problem, rather than complain about it.)

I submit that she had no purpose at the assembly other than disruption, and she was treated no differently than a disruptive student.

I submit GLSEN was the only disruptive entity, actively undermining and disruptng the authority of parents to teach their children moral values.

So why did she feel any special right to be there? Were other taxpayers allowed to attend? Were other student-less parents there?

Another question a parent has is how much of what I object to is being instilled into the other curriculum by the teachers attending the event. In addition to her daughter being indoctrinated her daughters teacher's are being indoctrinated also. It would be prudent for a parent to see what the teachers are being told to teach.

In my school district, as long as I report to the Principals office first, so they know I am in the building, I can attend just about any activity. The school encourages it.

Who was responsible for making the decision that this program was worthy of disrupting the students' normal classroom activities? They should be held accountable. The parents have the right to see anything that is being presented to their children.

Reason number two for me and hubby to homeschool two boys. One boy is four and the other due in a few weeks. It is my prayer that neither ever set foot in government school. I plan to start my own boy scout troop to aviod the gays. I have my radar up for them. They will not get to my boys. When it is time to expalin homosexuality to them I will teach them that it is wrong, dirty and an excuse to living a healty life with high self esteem. Of course I will teach them to just stay away from homosexuals, you don't need to say or do anything to them, they will pay the consequences of their behavior in many , many ways. The biggest way they will pay is that they will never know the true meaning of love, because they will never have children whom they feel responsible for. We are lucky to have our kids to protect, even though it is overwhelming at times with all of this violence and homosexual garbage going around. There are many more of us than there are of them,we just ahve to stick together and fight for our kids.

You're just plain wrong on this one. If government wants to run schools, then complete and open disclosure is in order. The Freedom of Information Act is an example of such mandated disclosure.

But...but...but...liberal totalitarians are always complaining parents are not "involved" enough in education. They tell us if we don't like the schools we need to be "involved" more. They tell us to go to the school boards and complain there.

There are practical limits for how much access can be allowed.

But using your reasoning, the pracitical limit of space was not a deciding factor cited. She had every right to sample the type of indoctrination the school is capable of. Even though her daughter was not attending this it would be very informational to the parent to see what other kinds of exposure her daughter may be attending.
