I know so many medical doctors that are now using some alternative methods, because they work without causing harsh side effects.

"Considering that many of his patients are already at Death's Door when they arrive, his results have been impressive, to say the least."

That is the glaring fact that the "mainstream" quacks cannot seem to deal with! - When those 'walking dead' patients are cured, it's medicine at it's improbable best; what are their chances after they have squandered their opportunity for life by going to the "mainstream" quacks? - Yet so many do get brought back from death's doorstep.

sakic, there are charletans in every profession, and no excuses can be made; evil is evil. - Your experience is not typical.

Look up the book I recommended to you, will you? You still did not send me mail. I wonder if you are serious with your question.

I'm dead serious and I'm not interested in any books. Anyone can write a book and say anything they want to in it.

I asked a simple question about whether there is anybody out there who claims to have cured Crohns or drastically improved people with Crohns. If so, it would be helpful if they could direct me to one of their success cases. I've been seeking that for about 10 years and have never met one of these that claim they can help who can back it up with even one success case. Every single one of them has backed down when asked for even simple proof.

Think about it. If someone had been helped in such a way it would turn up at one of the sites that are devoted to Crohns, of which there are many. These sites are not run by doctors or the AMA so why hasn't there even been one case reported on these sites? If there was help out there people who had been helped would be screaming from their rooftops wanting to share their good fortune. Yet these charlatans when pressed claim that those helped wish to remain anonymous. Does that seem viable to you?

"There's no WHO policy that says, `You should regulate herbal medicine this way.'..."

Translation: the WHO seeks to regulate herbal medicine.

never eat carrageenan gums

What's wrong with carrageenan gums? I thought these were fairly innocuous seaweed derivatives.

NEVER, EVER eat any "innocuous derivatives". They are just profit generating junk.

One sample info - http://unisci.com/stories/20014/1009013.htm . You can find a lot more. Fortunately my Polish stomach is not used to artificial stuff like that and I have vomiting reflex whenever I try to eat Twinkies, ice "cream" based on "innocuous derivatives", margarine, "vegetable" processed frying oils etc. (If I do not puke, I get diarrhea). So I am a bad candidate for Crohn's disease.

Sakic, please mail to me you location and the severity of your problem. I will try to locate some good physician with natural remedies expertise for you.

Thanks for the info. I read the link -- looks like carrageenan may not be so innocuous. That's a new one to me (though I'm not particularly surprised).

You're lucky that your Polish gut rejects American junk food. I regret to say that I thoroughly enjoy Twinkies and carrageenan-laced ice cream (and McDonald's cheesburgers, yum!), and digesting them is not a problem. My body seems oblivious to their harmful chemical nature.

Thankfully, my head knows better. I've been on a health kick for several years now, and I have severely limited my intake of junky foods. My philosophy is simple: eat lots of fresh vegetables and fruit, eat high-quality meats, use high-quality oils, drink plenty of pure water, and avoid processed foods (refined carbs and hydrogenated fats are bad news). I also wash my fruit and veggies in soapy water to get rid of oil-based pesticide residue.

It really takes a conscious, concerted effort to eat healthfully. I mean, you have to be really selective. Most of the stuff put in front of us these days is total processed garbage. You have to actively seek out the good stuff.
