The Ultimate Response to the "Bush Knew" Smear (RNC please take note)

Okay people, I don't usually write one-line vanities, but I have what I consider the Ultimate Rebuttal to the smear that Bush knew about September 11 in advance.

Osama bin Ladin bragged that not even all the hijackers
knew where they were really headed.

If the actual perpetrators didn't know what was going to happen,
HOW WAS GEORGE W. BUSH SUPPOSED TO KNOW?

There you are, kids. In two sentences, this horrible smear by the DNC is destroyed. Take it it, run with it, hit the airwaves, write letters to the editor, go on the radio, get this message out.

Personally, I don't want anyone and everyone to be allowed on an airplane, carrying a concealed gun. The terrorists could have the same " rights ", if this were the case. Armed pilots ? I'm not adverse to that ... with a few caveats. Though not a majority, there have been and no doubt still are, pilots who do fly drunk, with a hangover, on not enough sleep. These are facts, that come out after some horrible accident. Why isn't there more scrutiny ? Damned if I know.

I would like to see more armed air marshalls ; I'd like them flying on every plane. It's NOT ; however, the government's job description, to make private companies do this.

Your paltry few suggestions, would not have averted 9/11 . The only things, which would might have done that, would have been a REAL " police state " being installed here. You would have been screaming blue murder, over that.

Depending upon which report you read / which person you hear talking about this, the airlnes were wraned ... or they weren't. Who knows ?

If there were just one armed civilian on any of those airplanes it would have made a big difference. If you're old enough to remember, the US was relatively immune to hicjackings in the 70's due to the fact that there were armed civilians on board.

I think everyone knew that this was coming but no one knew when or where. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that they would fly jumbos into the WTC.

A total bodily search, emptying of all luggage, armed guards all over the place, and the dreaded racial profiling, etc.

Laz,it is my OPINION that Bubba Bush is getting some REALLY lousy advise on this. It's too late now,but the best response WOULD have been to shrug it off as ridicilous,and never address it again. When he sends Condi and other administration officials out to deny it,all he is doing is giving it wings. Even worse,when HE comes out a couple of days in a row and comments on it,it actually makes him look guilty and trying to cover up.

I don't know who has been advising him,but whoever it is damn sure ain't doing him any favors!
