Thanks for the list

Just BTW, isn't Gary Condit STILL on the House Intelligence Committee? (Or am I getting things all confused again...?)
To: JohnHuang2
Well crazy Cynthia McKinney is on the International Relations and Military Affairs Committees, mightn't she have gotten access to this information? She certainly has the motivation to make this leak.
To: Judith Anne
Indeed, he is. (Supposedly, he's being "investigated" by the House "ethics" committee [yeah, right])
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
Yes, indeed, my friend. A slew of potential culprits exists on the Dem side.
To: JohnHuang2
Well, isn't Condit on the House Intelligence Committee until next January? I know he lost the primary, but the elections aren't until this fall, right?
To: Judith Anne
You're exactly right.

He's been sooooo quiet, lately, that I have my suspicions...he's bound to be bitter...
To: JohnHuang2
This is why Bush chose to severely limit the number of Congressional Intelligence Committee members he briefed. Remember them crying about being shut out of the loop - especially around the crisis de jour - yes, the "SHADOW GOVERNMENT"....? lol
The same thing happened with that TOP SECRET nuclear target scenario that named the countries for which we had contingency plans. I believe that one ended up in the New York Times via the Senate Intelligence Committee as well. Is McCain or Specter on that thing? I'd suspect one of those two rather than a Democrat.

He's been sooooo quiet, latelyDefinitely suspicious -- and a clue there's mischief afoot.

You hit it out of the park, amigo.

Thanks for posting.

John, thanks from me too for the pings. It's really convienient to catch up on stories after being away for a couple of days. Much obliged!
By the way ... my money is on Hatch.
Oh lets see. Republicans might have a Respected Individual who's Not Had A Touch Challange of Holding back his runaway mouth on issues for a while. I might be wrong but I see a possible canidate on the GOP side.

By the way ... my money is on Hatch. Same here.

One House Democratic aide with knowledge of both the committee's and the president's briefing from Aug. 7 There's a high ranking source. Barney Frank's shampoo boy? If I were an editor, I'd never let information or quotes from an unattributed source make the final copy. If the source won't permit attribution, the information is suspect. The Clinton disinformation machine fed all manner of bullcrap through their agents by "veteran GOP strategists" (David Gergen and Frank Luntz) or "senior official close to Speaker Gingrich" (Dave Bonior) or the tried and true "lawyers familiar with the Independent Council report"(Lanny Davis and Geraldo Rivera).

Either/Orrin Hatch is currently the favorite at 6 to 5 in the morning line. Edwards is a close runner up at 3 to 1.

Nobody in Sunday Morning News Gab history had more face time, saying less of substance, than did Hatch during the whole IC/Impeachment debacle. What a nattily attired weenie.

Actually, when Hatch wants to go on the offensive he can be very effective. During his brief flirtatation with the Presidential primaries last election he was the most effective at painting Gore with the Clinton brush. That's what's so frustrating about Hatch, he could be such a conservative force but he always folds whenever he has to put it on the line. You're probably right, "weenie" is a pretty apt description of ole Orrin when you get right down to it.
