I thought this was a made-up story too, a "composite" of "real people." We'll never know though, since the NYT is above correcting any errors its writers make.

For the school system to knowingly partake in this deception is wrong, and could come back to haunt them big time. If the kid wants to dress as the other sex, the most a lenient adult should do is to say, "Okay. But I won't lie for you. If anyone asks, I will tell them the truth and you will deal with the consequences yourself. Now go play."

Good sensible answer. Any girl that wants to date her, should be aware that he is a she, and that there will be a limit to what she will get our of the relationship. Transexuals should never decieve those that they date. I wonder why most transexuals and transvestites seem to want to date women? Not all, but most M-F and F-M both want to date females-not men. Both the male and female transvestites and transexuals usually are wanting a female to be with. Why?

Why do very few of either of them ever want to be with biological males?
