In the real world this would be the case, but alas, these people don't appear to operate in real world, nor do they seem to be hampered much by reality checks. Winston Churchill could have been describing our "free press" when he stated(paraphrasing), "Some people stumble on the truth, but most will pick themselves up and move along as if nothing had happened."
Ironic that our media utopian elitist "guardians" will screech loud and long when there is even a smell(real or imagined) of a violation of "rights" they champion, but are struck deaf and dumb on others. Introspection and intellectual honesty are not what these people are about, but I'm hard pressed figure what they ARE about.

I don't disagree that Viacom is part of the problem(w/cbs), but the "problem" existed before Viacom came into the picture. The question is, why hasn't Viacom done something to curtail the liberal drivel issuing from the "captain" and others at cbs. Why have they blown conservatives off altogether?
It occurs to me that maybe the reason the Dims and the media are in lock step is they both have the same constituency.....the "victims" of capitalism. What irony!

This "part of the problem" has grown many times worse than anyone ever imagined it would -- or could -- before Viacom et al were permitted to own various types of media here in the states, too.
Take a good, hard look at the FILTH Sony has released upon this nation with their music *&* movies -- & that INCLUDES Sony's *puppet* labels?
Or Hell's Bells, checked out "FX" lately to see what R. Murdoch's & his Fox has been up to?
Think either of those two entities give a tinker's damn about America, her mores, values, Judeo-Christian foundation?

Hey there; some "Old Timers" have even told me (during casual conversation) the nations the Sonys & Murdochs come from DISPISE America, everything she's ever stood for, and they always have.

Anyway, don't listen to me; YOU LOOK FOR YOURSELF at what these entities are exposing this nation to & then ask yourself three simple questions:
1) Could these foreigners pull the same shit in their own home nations? (~hell no)
2) Is what you see coming from 'em, a "product" of the America you & I were brought-up in & can an American own any kind of media in these nations? (~no; the Brits are just now talking about permitting foreigners to own media interests *there* -- wanna guess why they might be a *tad* cautious??)
3) What would be YOUR motive for doing the same thing IF the tables were turned?

It's not that Viacom *likes* Liberals so much as they HATE conservatives; but FGS?

There's a shred of truth in your statement; but, it's not the whole story, either.
Remember we're not supposed to know the whole story & this *arrangement* is in fact, a deliberate act.
Whatever truth there is, is hidden at the end of an extremely convoluted path I can assure you.
