Did they curve the ends of their swords so they wouldn't resemble crosses?Probably not, though Saudi aversion to display of the Cross is notorious. In a Britannica article on swords I see an English sabre, dated 1856, with a similarly shaped crossbar, grip and pommel.
Any sword experts here?

Well, that's what happens when you use verses from the Quran on your national flag.

P.S. Note the assumption that all non-Moslems are filthy.
I think we've found the flag that should used as a "dew rag", in the place of old glory.

One supposes a dairy company has the right to offend its customers just as much as the customers have a right to be offended. Usually, companies try to not offend their paying customers needlessly, though.

Note the sword across the bottom of the flag.
"Shar'ia Law, coming to your neighborhood soon!"
I just pray American get this message sooner and not later...

Sabers are traditioanlly weilded by mounted troops and are intended to be used in a slashing motion. The flag, thus, carries the conotation of: "convert to the worship of our moon god or we will gallop through your masses and cut you to pieces".
Islam is, after all, the religion of Piece.

Muslims believe the words on the Saudi flag, which state: "There is no God but Allah. Mohammad is the messenger of Allah,"There is no hog but Allah and Mohammed is her pimp.
Print THAT instead.

"According to the Muslim belief you cant touch verses from the Koran without complete purification of the body and these cartons are going to be thrown in the dustbin." Whoa, here. My mind remembers being able to get a Koran in a library, bookstore and possibly a hotel (Red Crescent Gideons?). I could ask for a copy from most mosques. But I need to complete ritual purification to touch the thing?
Does that means that all Muslims, everywhere, always ritually clean themselves before picking up a copy to learn how to treat women and infidels? Fat chance.

It is a version of the scimitar, or shamsheer, which, as a horseman's weapon
usually had a curved blade, although straight-bladed examples do exist...

According to the Muslim belief you cant touch verses from the Koran without complete purification of the body and these cartons are going to be thrown in the dustbin. People are going to be very upset. There is no God but Allah. Mohammad is the messenger of Allah.
May it be condemned to the Dustbin of History, alongside the other tyrannies there!

It wasn't all that long ago that the saudi authorities in Riyadh made the KLM office there scrap their logo. The KLM logo has a cross atop a crown. Moreover, foreigners (infidels) had to be out of Riyadh by sundown.
When I came back from a tour in saudi arabia 20 years ago, I brought a saudi flag back with me. I thought it was sort of neat. Now, that flag is on my living room floor, being used as a doormat.
