shrinks who wrote the piece thought that meant the condition could be more easily treated...lol

Hmmm.. let's see... they say that most phobias can be cured by total immersion or "flooding" (fear of darkness, heights, etc.), but, I swear by all that's holy, if anybody tries this technique with me regarding these perverts, I'll kill anybody or anything to get away from them!!

"Flooding" is exactly what they do. Michael is still on the subject:

Re: I'm just delivering the curriculum!
Students were really interested today to learn about the origin of the pink triangle. One boy saw a documentary about Hitler while on vacation recently in CUBA and another girl saw the movie and a children's book about Anne Frank. They both had lots to say. One boy asked if we could make pink triangles to display on the bulletin board - something I had already planned.

Any old excuse:

In Re: Today students told class they are being teased Michael Moore relates how some kids were allegedly running around calling each other "gaylords" and how one of the kids upon questioning related that "A gaylord is someone who is the king of all gays and the gayest person on Earth."

Michael's response to that? "Now tell me we don't need to discuss homophobia. I am following the Board's new antihomophobia curriculum for elementary students (Rainbows and Triangles), as are/will be the other teachers."

Whatever happened to  "That's not nice, so knock it off!" And at the elementary school I attended many moons ago we'd get burned out from writing "I will not call ____  a (the bad name/word/concept)" 500 or so times. And if that didn't do the trick, the principal would knock some knots on our little butts with her wooden paddle.

You have to hand it to Mikey, he is ever the opportunist.

Thanks for the links. Protecting the kids from teasing is their main angle of attack now. Despicable. Michael is still whining about homophobia even though more than a few have told him to cut it out. Wait until a scandal such as the church faces hit the government schools. It is on the way.
