He was sitting over the center fuel tank, with a C-4 based bomb, big enough to start an on board explosion.
I have mixed feelings on TWA 800. I want to believe the FBI, but in light of current events, the weak evidence and Richard Reid's botched attempt, you really have to think hard before concluding either way. To me, it seems likely the crash was a terrorist homicide.
Maybe some day, the truth will be established.
I hope so for the families and our nation.
I asked you a question:
Who are you, and why do you do this?I didn't make "allegations." I just asked a question, and you ignored it. (I would be happy to answer the same question, but you and almost everyone else here already knows the answer.)
I did present some brief description of evidence. (Police reports are evidence.) If you rally want I can probably still find a link to the reports, or repost a few of the ones I saved.
But more to the point, about who you are I mean. I just did a search for your posts. The overwhelming majority were obviously about TWA 800, which I find a bit unusual. But I wanted to see what you had to say about another topic, so I clicked on something about "FBI warns law enforcement that al- Qaeda may have SAMs," and you know what, that post was about TWA 800 too.
I suggest you reply honestly, or go away. Any other reply will trigger an abuse report from me. FR doesn't need disinformation specialists.

As a civilian investigator for 50+ years I've personally interviewed thousands of witnesses and personally analyzed the reports of thousands of others while also routinely organizing investigation teams of other seasoned experts on related matters. Its appropriate to note that investigations are in fact trial preparation and that each member of an investigation team may later be called to testify and be cross-examined by the other sides lawyer. The bigger the case, the more qualified by training and experience all involved are, including the lawyers. So something like the Flight 800 disaster is not a case for wannabe experts on any subject.
and as long as there is enough confusion, there will always be doubt enough to conceal it.
What do you think the official crash conclusion would have been had Richard Reid gotten that shoe lit? What's more telling is the fodded engines on the starboard side - the same side as the *******-******* ***** *** **** which was probablatic on several 747's in the past.
And -
- did anybody know the engines were heavily fodded on one side only?
Who are we to believe?Well, for starters you could review the factual evidence - what parts of the aircraft and what articles were found where ...
(That would be new for a Freeper - reviewing the evidence!)
I would suggest you familiarize yourself with all the details. How about becoming familiar with the history of the 747 aircraft?
Naw - I guess that's really out of the question ... after all, when have past problems indicated potential failure-prone sub-systems on an aircraft going forward into the future ...
Do you believe that assertion to be true?
Please let us know what a "civilian investigator does. Are you a "private detective?" Do you handle claims for an insurance company? And why do you insist that there is no evidence in the TWA 800 case when there is obviously lots of evidence? Why do you care so much about this case?
And while you're replying, please let us know how many aircraft accident reports you have read and whether you are a pilot or not. (FTR, I've read many, and I am, though no longer active.)

Do you believe that assertion to be true?
Anything other than a yes or no response will be considered "of course such a claim is ludicrous on its face, because LI beaches are probably the most densely populated beaches in the nation".
Thanks in advance for your yes or no response.
- yes ...
Excerpt from The "Missile Witnesses" Myth.
[quote] James Kallstroms erroneous assumption on the basis of intial reports that Flight 800 may have been the victim of a missile shootdown led to the FBI being authorized to seize control of the investigation from the NTSB at the outset. He promptly elbowed aside the NTSB Witness Interview Teams, as documented in NTSB Exhibit 4-A, and substituted his own agents to interview the witnesses, ignoring the fact that the NTSB Teams were far better qualified for that role. Making matters worse, as the complaints from so many of the witnesses reflect about extremely brief and sketchy interviews, it appears he gave them orders to move fast to find the "smoking gun" of a missile shootdown that he was apparently convinced would be readily found. Yet, he should have known within 24-72 hours that he was likely on the wrong track because of the satellite sighting of the Massive Fireball explosion "about a mile above the surface", the witness reports flooding in that the destination of fiery streak was the Massive Fireball explosion, not the 747 and the ATC tape recording documenting the time of McClaines radio report of the MF explosion. [end quote]
If either Louis Freeh or Janet Reno had been properly supervising Kallstrom, his wild goose chase would have been obvious to them early on.
You can't give a yes or no answer either - most indicative...
