Suppose I accept your point that Hussein is "contained, neutered." So he was at the end of the Gulf War. And, over the next five years we saw that containment gradually erode. We saw that the same countries that are vehemently opposed to deposing Hussein were just as opposed to the sanctions that kept him "contained and neutered". How many times did we hear that we should lift these restrictions that only hurt the Iraqi citizens? Even if we fully imposed new restrictions, new sanctions, and put a thousand inspectors in Iraq in a year or two the restrictions and sanctions would be full of holes and Hussein would kick the inspectors out. We would be back where we are today. How many times should we go thru this charade? We've seen your liberal concepts of how to deal with this man result in one dismal failure after another. It's time to solve this problem for once and for all.
