Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to show the lyrics.
I know the Winans to be Christian singers, but had never sorted out the lyrics.

That's one of my favorite songs Aqua. Thanks for playing it for us. How are you doing?
To: Aquamarine
OK, now I feel really dumb. I've never paid much attention to the words all these years. It's a beautiful song.
To: SpookBrat

I always liked that song too but I thought it was Bee Gees singing it.

Free, thank you for posting this from The Washington Times. You may not have had the numbers that Houston did, but you all certainly have the HEART, and it shows in everything you do. Your (all of the DC Chapter and surrounding area) dedication to supporting our President and the Troops is unparalleled, and such an example for all of FR.

Thanks Billie. I bury at the end of this thread my abiding concern that we only had 200-240. (It was 150 at most time, but it reached a peak of over 200 at one time and I saw people coming and going.)
I think with weather it would have been higher.
But frankly I'm disappointed it wasn't more and frustrated as all get-out not so much because it wasn't more but because I just don't know what else we could do. People on the CSPAN thread said I was being defensive because I kept saying basically "be quiet, we tried that," but frankly, I would LOVE for someone to show/tell me how we can get more people. We've GOT to find a way to get into national syndicated radio or explore internet conservative radio or perhaps go to Baltimore for a conservative radio recruiting base. In DC we don't have a local talk radio conservative thing going on.
It was good and we worked hard. But I'm still disappointed. We HAVE to have more people. We HAVE to find a way. That's my mantra. I don't mind people criticizing us: I just wish we had *useful* suggestions.
The best I can think of right now is -- if our area college Republicans are hopelessly disorganized, and they do appear to be -- maybe it's our jobs as adults to simply somehow organize them. Through a website, through a party, through somehow: get them working together as a good machine. It's either that or try to find a way to get conservative talk radio local listeners from Baltimore down. Those are both very time-intensive suggestions, but they're the best I can think of. I mean we went *everywhere* to leaflet too.
Sigh. It's something to think about: how we can do better. I've got to learn more about Houston: was it the magic of talk radio? Or how else did you guys turn people out?
