Those are pretty impressive stones she's wearing. Wow. I would like to see her with a few colored stones, however; it would be a little warmer, play off her hair and eyes a bit. Laura Bush looks great in jewel tones. I've always loved her sparkling eyes, too. George is a lucky boy.

Gaudy and overdone. Elizabeth Taylor was in a receiving line wearing a HUGE diamond ring and when Princess Margaret saw it she said it was vulgar. Elizabeth Taylor asked the Princess if she would like to try the ring on. As the Princess was holding our her hand admiring the umpteen carat stone on HER hand, Elizabeth Taylor cooed, "not quite so vulgar now, is it? Mrs. Bush looked fabulous and the neclace was perfect.

A woman with such a beautiful face should not wear jewelry that distracts the eye.

It's way too much for Laura Bush. She always seemed to be the simple and down-to-earth type. Maybe it's a cultural thing.
Shoot, maybe Fox gave it to her. The woman has enough class to wear a Flavr Flav clock necklace if a President gave it to her.
