Here's a wonderful adaptation of Lee Greenwood's song "God Bless the U.S.A". This song recorded Wednesday morning by Tim Pilcher and Bryce Johnson of the Premier Radio Network. This song was adapted specifically to reflect the tragedy from Tuesday.
God Bless the U.S.A.

THIS MAY OR MAY NOT BE USABLE INFORMATION. I AM A FORMER MARINE. SEEING ASAMA BIN LADEN IN A CAVE ON TV I TRIED TO PUT MYSELF THERE AND DECIDE WHAT I WOULD NEED. WATER. THE CAVE IS IN A MOUNTAIN. THERE ARE ONLY FIVE LOCATIONS OF WATER THAT CAN BE SEEN FROM THE AIR AND 3 OF THEM ARE IN THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE COUNTRY. HILLS AND DESERT. THE OTHER 2 ARE IN THE NORTWEST AT THE BASE OF THE MOUNTAINS. ONE IS APPROXIMATELY 49 MILES N E OF FAZABAD. THE OTHER IS APPROXIMATELY 10 MILES N E OF JALALABAD.

SEEING ASAMA BIN LADEN IN A CAVE ON TV The video is probably years old. He's too crafty to stay in one place for too long. But we will find him and he will pay with his miserable life.

Very nice. But the original is still the best (and very relevant to the current situation just as it is).
Also (and I realize that it is entirely inappropriate of me to say this but....) Lee will sing it again for any Republican convention, and it certainly won't hurt to have his original version picked up around the country and then only performed for one party.

Glad you liked it. And, yes, while this version is good, there is nothing like the original. Sends a chill up my spine. Wish I could find a copy on the net somewhere.

It's the time to show the world we're strong--
We won't be terrorized.
Evil's not allowed to win
When you've got Heaven on your side.
It's for the ones we've lost
that we're standing strong today
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom
And they won't take that away.
And we're standing strong as Americans,
where at least we know we're free.
And we won't forget the ones who died
on that Tuesday morning
And we're going to stand up and see it through
And defend her still today.
'Cause we'll never fall when we all stand.
God bless the U.S.A.!
And we're standing strong as Americans,
where at least we know we're free.
And we won't forget the ones who died
on that Tuesday morning
And we're going to stand up! and see it through
And defend her still today.
'Cause we'll never fall when we all stand.
GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.!
