FIFTH ANNUAL CELEBRATION IN CALIFORNIA

Place: Knotts Berry Farm, Buena Park, At Independence Hall (Western Replica)
Time: Program 12:30 To 1:30 PM (Pacific), Monday, September 17, 2001
(The incomparable Robbie Britt will sing)

The Constitution Day observance begins with the recitation of the Preamble, followed by a roll call of all the 50 United States, from each state capitol (On the conference call), beginning with Delaware, the first state to ratify the Constitution, to Hawaii, ending with, "Bells Across America" by churches, to honor the First amendment, Freedom of Religion.

EVERY AMERICAN IS WELCOME TO JOIN THE 5TH ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF. CONSTITUTION DAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2001. Bring A Friend, A Bell or Noisemaker

At 4 PM EST, exactly when the Constitutional convention was adjourned in Philadelphia Pennsylvania in 1787, there will be the fifth national observation on a national conference call from Washington DC to all the 50 US state capitols.

Also, on PBS, Internet, radio and TV. President George Bush (or in his stead, First Lady laura Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, or former President George H.W. Bush) will lead the nation in the Preamble to the US Constitution, which we will all recite, simultaneously with him, across America. All schools are urged to participate, again this year. All churches are especially urged to participate this year, by ringing bells to honor the first amendment, "Freedom of Religion."

Immediately following the recitation of the Preamble, there will be a roll call of all the fifty United States beginning with Delaware, the first state to ratify the Constitution, ending with ALOHA, Hawaii, the last state admitted to the Union. Then bells will ring across America to observe the most nearly perfect governmental document ever conceived by man, THE U.S. CONSTITUTION! Its great that we remember the Constitution which was signed on this day in history, but it is perhaps even more important that we memorialize Bill Of Rights Day, which is December 15th. Resolutions and celebrations are being organized around the country. If your city, county or state have not done so, consider taking the iniative!

Respond to me for information, I'm with the South Carolina Bill Of Rights Day Celebration Committee.

Big Bump. The Constitution needs to be remembered on a day when people like Mike Wallace are wondering whether it has to be cut back.

If I had only known about this last night!!!! Unfortunately, it's too late for me to be able to go now. ARGH! I will definitely see about attending any Bill of Rights Day events though in December.
