[history]
The first peace march in New York last night inspired waves of unpeaceful sentiment, as 1,500 protesters marched through the city. The demonstrators snarled traffic and drew snarls as they walked up Park Avenue, over to the Avenue of the Americas and to Times Square.

Peace, yeah, what a good idea. Wish we'd thought of that. I can just picture these washed up old marxist losers after all these years, exhilarated by the thought of displaying their novel concept of how peace is better than war to a new generation of airheads.
"Dust off your peace signs, tokers, we have work to do. Let's show all those meanie warmongers how superior our minds are. Peace, yeah, that's it. Meet back here at midnight for chemicals and group sex."

"Dust off your peace signs, tokers, we have work to do.." Hippies give tokers a bad name... some of our finest warriors like the weed..... This time we can not tolerate sedition... This time, if a hippie puts a flower in your gun barrel, blast a daisy through his breastbone.

Just a few decades ago, these nitwits were met with nothing but now they're met with jeers - in lib-town. It's a good sign...
To: NYpeanut
These are all 60s-rejects and their children pulling this crap. Those who rally for peace are really rallying for anti-Americanism.
To: NYpeanut
All liberal college campuses, Berkeley, Madison taking part in this....pathetic.
To: NYpeanut
These people are in for a big disappointment. There will be no beach invasions to rally against, no draft cards to burn, no reason to run to Canada, etc. We're going to slowly see more terrorists arrested in cell raids, radical islamic leaders that just seem to have disappeared, militant middle east countries shift slowly towards moderation, etc. This is a new way of fighting war, and the Perpetually Indignant are going to find it difficult to protest because there simply won't be anything visible to protest.

No one has time for them these days, nor cares what these feeble minded children of afluence think. And some, even in the suburbs, have failed to grow up.

Time to go a buy a few gallons of yellow paint, a couple hundred balloons, and start the bombing of these cowards.

Don't underestimate the importance of winning the hearts and minds on the campuses. If this war goes on for two or three years, the peace movement is going to start looking a lot less stupid to 18 year olds than it does now. The campuses are where home bred violence and riots will start, if they do start. And, the campuses are a breeding ground for deep eco folks. Even though they seem worlds apart from the muslim fundies, they share the same goals in the near term--destruction of western civilization. If we have a homebred terrorist threat, it will come from there, financed by the fundies. All of this means that we need to take the campus situation seriously and win this battle for as many of the students as we can hold.
These bozos brought down two administrations and almost tore apart our country in the late sixties and early 70's. Just because the leaders seem to be obvious fools to me and the followers, mindless dupes, does not mean there is not a potent political force there.

Just a few decades ago, these nitwits were met with nothing but now they're met with jeers - in lib-town. It's a good sign...Ahh yes, another liberal mecca is beginning to disintgrate before their eyes.....How many people live in N.Y.? How come there were only 1,500?
Actually I think Martha would say,"It's a Good Thing."

"Resist the racist war" Huh? Somebody remind these bolshies that the WTC victims include many minorities, including the lesbian, gay, and trans-gendered.

Well folks, now we know what to do with all those veggies that are turning in our refrigerators. Put them in a plastic bag and set them outside for a day or two, they'll be in perfect shape to toss at these anti-American airheads.
I remember them throwing rotten eggs at our men as they returned home from Vietnam, it's time they got back some of their own.

They are retreads, has-beens. Rebels without a cause.

Hi NYpeanut. My ~~~heartfelt~~~ sympathies to your/our community.
I want to post this in response to these idiots. It was posted here yesterday by a fellow freeper "Rastus".
It should be made into signs, leaflets and shown/passed out to all these "peace demonstrator" idiots.
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

Stop "scape-goating" and I suppose she'd like to be a Taliban woman.

"Peace, yeah, what a good idea."
Sure it is; the difference is that THEY want to achieve peace through SURRENDER...too stupid to realize that lasting peace only results from VICTORY!

Note that these colleges were hotbeds of liberal inanity during the 60's. They've got a stained reputation to uphold as centers of Leftist correctness. Their response was as predictable as a sunrise. And I'm sure you can look up their rhetoric in an old Abbie Hoffman newsletter.

Maybe those people on the flight that crashed in Pa. should have "chosen peace."
"I'm sure the hijackers will let us go when their grievances have been heard."
Only the hijackers' grievance is merely that you are alive.
We are all on that plane now. Let the peaceniks hide under their seats.

. "This is the belly of the beast and this is where we need to be active," said a protester named Amy, as she drew up posters before last night's rally. Fanatical Muslims slaughtered thousands of innocent people and this nitwit calls a U.S. Army recruiting office is "the belly of the beast"?! I'm amazed that he was able to escape Times Square without being throttled. Send this anti-American scum bag to negotiate with the Taliban and then hear his song.
